That's what I use in mine and they fit fine for me. Orbtronic - Panasonic CGR18650CH With Top Button, 2250mAh IMR High Drain 18650 Battery Cell-Made in Japan
From what I see they are rated at 10a just like the AW's. (Just saw your edit CW).
Just curious Phanto, do you have the ones with black ml markings or white? According to PBusardo the black work great but the white ...... not so much.
Here's the problem in a nutshell on all of these Clearomizers. Some work ok, some don't. Some work sometimes. It's called CQC. Crappy Quality Control! I've been sucked in a few times, in fact I have three T3's sitting on my desk doing nothing. I won't get fooled again!
I've made a few and I have not had great luck with them. IMO the flavor is muted and they don't produce as much vapor as ss mesh. As far as cutting them goes, if you wet the material no dust happens. There is place taking pre-orders on them but it's $20 for 3 wicks. Bottom line is I tried it and...
What a difference 0.2Ω resistance makes! I've been making my coils 1.2 - 1.3Ω but I found that, while it hit great at 4.1 volts, it just wasn't hitting the spot when the battery voltage dropped below 3.9 volts. After reducing my wraps of 28awg Kanthal from 5/6 to a 4/5 wrap, the ohms dropped to...
Jim, I know you are being bombarded with questions but I just have to ask you this. I am interested in brass top end cap, button body and bottom end cap. Any idea when those might be available?
This is a wick I made that hits almost instantly. It has a core of 3mm silica and is made from 635 ss mesh. I only use about 25mm of the mesh so there's very little to heat up. It's also very spongy so if you use the Petar K method of making and mounting your coil first, you just roll it a bit...
I think the problem with a thick, tightly wrapped wick is that there is so much metal it creates a strong heat sink. That's why when your battery gets to 3.8v it takes a while to get the vapor going. Rick's wick (hey, that rhymes) creates a more instantaneous hit due to less mesh. I use a hollow...
If you are using the Petar K method of making and mounting your coil, and then sliding your wick into place, cleaning your set up is simple. I slide out the wick and torch it clean. Then, while the wick is out, do a few dry burns on the coil. If the coil is really cruddy, use a Q-Tip with a...
SOLD OUT!
Ok, after using both the Ceramic and SS Mesh, I can't really say I prefer one more than the other. They both work great. Now maybe it's because I've been making ss wicks for a while now but I find it easier to set up the ss wicks. Using a modified Petar K method I have no problems...
Just a quick note on those ceramic wicks. I made another one and torched the daylights out of it. It's working REALLY well. I had used an old air stone that was in an aquarium several months ago so apparently it needed to be cleaned thoroughly! I'm going to make a 1Ω coil and try it to see if it...
My second attempt at making a ceramic wick works extremely well! The air stone I am using was actually an old one that I had used in my aquarium several months ago. I think maybe it had crap inside it so this time I torched the living daylights out of it. Much better!!!
