Love the fact that I'm getting about 10-15% more battery life on Eco mode. However I'd much rather simply see an option to change how long the screen stays on. As far as the modes setting go, it would make more sense to have them adjust the temp when in joules mode. Something like .... Soft = 5%... -

Joyetech Evic VT 60 Watt
Reviews I have seen clearly state that the device runs between 30 and 60 watts in temp mode. That is an incredibly bone head design decision IMO. I would have bought one as a backup but unless that issue is addressed, I'm out. -

I don't know if this will help but I've been building Ni200 coils for 3 or 4 months now and have found that you must make sure there are no hot spots before wicking the coil. To do this, I turn off temp mode (or joules in the SX), set the watts to 6.0, screw on my atty and in a darkened area... -

It sounds like a hot spot on the coil. I'm not a big fan of the Kanger Sub-Tank, in fact mine ended up in the garbage! One thing I do, to detect a hot spot prior to wicking, is turn off temp mode and turn down the joules to 6.0 - 6.5. I fire the coil in dim lighting until I start to see a faint... -

Gets right up to 310°. I'm not sure how to calculate the proper temp to use that would equal 410° which I used on pure nickel but the coil and cotton seem to be staying clean and unburnt. -
