is their a way to use a cartomizer with out any filling

I use cartos without the filler all the time. I use them to drip in. A carto will hold around 10-20 drops of liquid, and it works just as good as dripping in a regular atty. Just use some small tweezers and be careful not to break the center wire in the carto. Make sure you leave the little...

Need a mosfet...What the heck is a Mosfet?

I don't know where you got that shipping price, but here is the shipping prices for digikey. I just ordered $25 worth of stuff from them, and only paid $5.15 for priority shipping. First class mail is $2, that's as cheap as it gets.

    My very own EverCool Variable!

The iron ding is the culprit. I'll take a file to it when I get home. Oh yeah, and there is no glue anywhere in the box, except one drop of superglue per LED. I may use a little epoxy to try and get the POT and the Master ON/OFF a little more level with the box, they are at a little bi tof a...

    My very own EverCool Variable!

There's nothing blocking the box lid so I don't know what's keeping it from closing all the way. I think it may actually be something wrong with box itself. Either way, it closes enough to stand vertical, so it' good enough for me.

    My very own EverCool Variable!

Not sure on how coarse the adjustment is, I only checked the low and high end. I would need a third hand to turn the wheel while I hold the leads on the connector. I guess I really should make myself a load tester, I've got plenty of old attys to do it with.

    New User Hi And Help!!

I know there is a definite learning curve for ecigs when you first get started. You have to re-learn how to take a drag. I had to read through some of the inhaling thread, and watch a couple of videos before I learned how to actually take a drag on my 510's. It's more of a long, slow drag...

    My very own EverCool Variable!

You can't see it in the pictures, but I actually broke pin 1 on the chips on accident. Guess I came pretty close to ruining the whole thing. This happened because I soldered the chip in before I bent the pins down. When I soldered it I didn't leave enough slack to be able to bend it down flat...

    My very own EverCool Variable!

That's a 200 ohm thumb wheel POT. I had to solder it in with the leads coming out on the non-copper side. The POT actually blocks half of the PCB, so I had to solder everything else onto the board first, then solder the POT in. Well, BigBlue30 used 20awg wire on his, so I decided I would...

So... what are you guys vaping on?

I'm currently vaping on my brand new, just completed, variable voltage, home made box mod. I think it may replace my 3.7v mods forever.:D

    My very own EverCool Variable!

I can't thank BigBlue30 enough, and a couple of others on the other evercool thread for the help and answering my questions. Took me all of about 5 hours to get everything together. Soldering the POT upside down was a major PITA, but well worth it to be able to adjust the voltage externally on...

    EverCool Variable Voltage Mod

I finished mine just a few minutes ago. I'm making a post with pictures. It freaking rocks.

    EverCool Variable Voltage Mod

Thanks BigBlue, it all makes since now. Is there any way I could get my N.O. "fire" switch to work on the inhibit pin? I'm trying to keep from having to buy a 3A switch because I don't want to wait another week to build this mod.

    EverCool Variable Voltage Mod

You know, I just thought about that. I don't like big honkin buttons on my boxes. How would I go about protecting my switches with a MOSFET? What are some part #'s for MOSFETs to use? I'm also still confused on the POT. Where does the other end of the 220 ohm resistor go? I know it...

    EverCool Variable Voltage Mod

I hope BigBlue responds to my PM, I'm really having trouble figuring out how to wire in the POT. I can't seem to make it make sense to me.

    EverCool Variable Voltage Mod

The thumbwheel will only go around so far (300 degrees I think). The blue POT will turn forever, but will only adjust resistance within a certain range of the screw. I'm not sure of the number of turns to adjust over the entire range, but it's probably around 30-40 turns. The blue POT will...

For ALL US suppliers who use Paypal, please consider this

Nothing like feeding the monopoly. Good luck getting sympathy from Paypal if you get caught violating their rules. I'm pretty sure Paypal could care less about your 10 years and thousands of transactions IMHO. Paypal has it's purpose, especially with Ebay, but if I can help it, I'd rather use...

    After a little practice.....

I'm not a fan of juice feeding. I previously had a Mr. Puffer, but never really liked it. I do like the box mod though, I am in the process of building my first variable voltage mod, I hope to be done with it by Monday. The problem I have with juice feeding is leakage. It may just be my...

For ALL US suppliers who use Paypal, please consider this

Stop using them, why put us and yourselves at risk? There is one major alternative to the evil empire of Paypal, one that actually allows you to send and receive YOUR money however YOU want (as long as it's legal). This wonderful alternative is setup exactly the same as Paypal, heck, their...

Another plug for GPal, the PayPal alternative

www.gpal.net I just got through reading Don's (Backwoods Brew Juices) post about folks that keep mentioning e-cig related terms when paying with paypal. People, there is an alternative! I just don't understand why we keep going through this crap with Paypal closing accounts and banning...
