    Sounds like lovely lady, who's having fun pressing your buttons. As you know I have Sumpin very similar to yours and love it. I'll be able to do personal comparison and side by side photo soon. :D

    When applying gold deoxit on a cleaned Reo you really don't need to worry about that. when using the Red deoxit to clean dirty contacts is when I would do that. I use the q-tip when cleaning an old device that corroded or oxidized like my garage door opener.

    I do use the LG HE2 batteries as well as others, flat tops can arc more than others but it's really noticeable as your drop into sub ohms. with the use Deoxit or Noalox on the contacts you can mitigate this. the new Reo will ship with a small amount of Noalox.     no I don't think so, you just shorted out the coil is my guess. The great think about the Reo design is the Spring, by collapsing like it did, it cut power and protected everything else from damage.

The indent in the battery was there before, you just noticed it now, happened to me when charging and letting the spring slam the battery against the post in the charger. now that I'm careful to gently...
