"I'm not too fond of twisting the post to remove a wick."
It's slightly easier to pop one into an o-ring, but a threaded one's more secure and won't leak.
Plenty of protank threads already, but I'll say it more than once- I'm waiting for the version with the metal jacket and juice window that protects it like a Kanger MT3 and with a replaceable drip tip beacuse rubber's much more comfortable. It should be out before you know it after everyone...
I knew it, it was the Kanthal that I purchased that caused the problem. I bought it here from Tankecigs.com
http://www.tankecigs.com/Kanthal-A-1-Wire-32-Gauge-008-p/ka1.htm
I got a $400 high-end Multimeter
I built a 2.0ohm coil = didn't work.
I checked the ohms of the factoy-built 2.8...

i just returned two $5 defective Harbor freight Multimeters. For now, I just rely on what people say what # of wraps with what gauge kanthal = what ohms because I usually find my sweet spot of most vapor and flavor without burning the wick regardless of what the 'chart' says. It doesn't really...
"If you have a rubber-grommet type RBA, check to see if your wires are touching the walls before they reach the rubber grommet."
I did. I did everything perfect, all I can think is that the 3-or-so year old 650mah PT ego 3.7volt battery doesn't work with A-1 kanthal.
?
I cross post linked this before but it got modded, please just leave the link here because aparently no-one in the forum it's posted to can help, and it's really holding me back that I can't figure this out. You can delete this thread you're reading now after the linked one's been solved. Thanks...
"...If you changed from the 2 mm wick to a 2.5 mm wick, each wrap would now be 25% longer, and the overall increase in length of wire used would also be close to 25%..."
Even if a 2.5mm wick is 25% larger than a 2mm, when people wrap coils around the wick material (not threading the wick...
with or without a flavor wick strand on top, is 3mm silica too large for a T3 head? I'd rather not unstrand the silica to make it smaller because it might fall apart easier.
I'm using cotton and hemp (on orer) also, but silica, although probably the least healthy, seems to give the lest gurgle...
Good question. I think it was Thrasher who answered it when I searched for the same thing- Why do some top coils have mini wicks like bottom coil clearomizers? Answer is that tilting is already expected, so with a short wick, you always get a better juice mix to the coil because longer wicks...
About T3 rebuilding,
Instead of putting magnetic disks on the battery pin, why not just pull out the T3's positive pin so it contacts the battery sooner as it's screwed on?
I never really had any gurgling or leaking with my MT3 (same as a T3 but with a metal tank jacket), and don't know what...
linking my unsolved somewhat OT thread hoping that the seemingly well-versed posters in this thread can help:

I just returned two cheap multimeters because they were defective. But if a Twist/eGo really can break and not protect itself, then I think I'll just be more careful when building coils, but it's pretty hard to mess up.
even my $15 variable volt egp-style battery is protected from shorts. It's pretty hard to mess up building a coil so that it shorts, unless maybe using un-oxidized SS, but again, the battery usually protects itself.
I don't think I even need a multimeter with a variable volt battery anymore. All I need to know is 4/5 wraps with 32 gauge kanthal = about 2.2 ohms (that might be wrong, so don't go by that). As long as my coil's 1.5-2.8, I learned to set the volts to where I get the best vape production & taste...
Stay clear of the Harbor freight $2-7 one. There are other brands available that look exactly like it but just different colors which I say stay away from too. If you search ecf or google about it (cen-tech 7 function multimeter), it's hit or miss in that some people get a defective one, and it...
