    Ok guys, Just built a 100 mm 500 ss mesh wick for my z atty u no insulator on a lava tube at 4.2volts. Using 32 gauge kanthal and the coil is metering to 1.9ohms with a 3/4 wrap. I dont think I am getting any shorts but the juice is popping when I fire it up. The top cap also gets pretty warm...

    You should try pulling the pin and it will be good as new, just take a paper clip and gently move Round the center round part and pull it up ever so sligjtly

    I honestly don't think they would just change the display but like penguin said they would probably re tune the internal calculations so the output is accurate. For example 3 watts would be aprox 3 watts

    I use genesis atty's on my zmax with an 18650 all the time with coils as low as 1.3 ohms with no issues at any of the wattage settings. I have never popped a coil.. I mainly use 32 gauge but at times will use 36 gauge. Take it for what it's worth. Dont really use sillica that much anymore...

    I agree completely; Mike also says that he builds these for the safest result with the best performance without trading performance for safety. It may be less safe to have it out but it also may perform better. In my case I think it performs better with it out. I understand why it is there...
