    Questions about mods.

I usually am using pairs of Samsung 25R or Sony VTC5. The Revolt that I have on it right now is a build using 22g nichrome 80, 8 wraps around a 2mm screwdriver, dual coils. It measures .15 ohm. This may not be the best build if you are new at building RDAs, you did say in the OP that you are...

    RDA Characteristics of "flavor" attys

Thats 22 gauge kanthal wrapped around 2mm screwdriver. Sometimes I do the same thing with 22g nichrome 80, only with 8 wraps instead of 6. I run it on a dual 18650 mech. I think the vape is pretty flavorful. The best part of the Velocity, IMO, is how easy it is and that the top cap locks into...

    RDA Characteristics of "flavor" attys

oh yeah, and square posts work great too. Any post design that prevents the possibility of spinning posts is a plus. Some people are going to be cranking down on those screws to lock some very low gauge wire or complicated coil builds in there. Lately I have been loving a Revolt clone that I...

Picture of Your Setup Part 2!

Its an Abaddon. The authentic El Diablo version is a couple hundred dollars and hard to find in stock. That one is from angelcigs. This copper angelcigs version was done very well. The design of the box is great though. It is the smallest dual 18650 mod that I own. All metal is either...

    Questions about mods.

I am not saying that it is hard to do. Just that with the kind of RDA you are using, you should only be using 18650 batteries anyway. And so now you have multiple extra unnecessary parts. These extra threaded parts will introduce additional voltage drop, so your mod will not perform as well...

    Is more watts better?

It depends on the RDA and the build you are using. I only use mechanicals, but 100 watts might be enough for me. 40 watts would be far underpowered. If you are using clearomizers or some kind of basic device either disposable or with replaceable coil packs, then 40 watts will be fine.

Well, if the meter is off by .002 (thousandths), then the reading is precisely accurate to the hundredths of an ohm, like I originally stated. The meter doesn't actually measure to the thousandths. It has only two decimal places. It can only be accurate to the hundredths place, because that...

or just pick an already developed atomizer that works. Somebody already has a design for nearly anything you can think of. All of these RDAs essentially do the same thing. The main differences are the way the posts are and the placement of the airflow. Since they are rebuildable, you can...

    Questions about mods.

Yes, a tube mod is a fine way to start. I would look at single tube mechs instead of modular, such as a pegasus, overdose, oros, cartel, fuhattan, paragon, etc. Its less parts to mess with and functions better.

    Questions about mods.

Ivogo makes good clones. You need to get flat top batteries. Do you understand how the box works? CB may not be the best if you want something to carry around, its pretty big. The copper version is heavy too. The tugboat box is not a true mech mod, just an unregulated box with wires. I...

    Best affordable beginner RDA. Opinions?

It depends. If you got good clones, they could be great. Make sure you wash them before you build anything.

How can you tell where the "fire" button is ? - looking for a new mod...

Well, if its just something you do only because it is an acceptable alternative to tobacco smoke, then you probably don't want to be bothered with the more advanced stuff. But if you get to a point where this is what you prefer to do not just because it is similar to smoking but because it is...

We are talking about a meter for vaping, specifically designed with native 510 connection for reading accurately in sub-ohm ranges. As compared to a low-resistance micro ohmmeter (at cost of a couple thousand dollars), a decent 510 vape meter can fill the role and serve its purpose for vapers...

Thank you. Your test proves my point. And the purpose for having such a meter is to check for build problems. Anyone actually doing these builds should be familiar enough with what they are doing to know what the ohms should be (or is using a calculator like the steam engine coil builder)...

In this case, the approximation matches the steam engine prediction for any of the builds I measure. And if I had a .21 or .25 build that measured .23, that is close enough to the expected value that I know the build is good. There is not a short. The coils are screwed down correctly and the...

    Wattage thoughts...

yes, steam engine will tell you what any gauge of any type of wire will be for whatever amount of wraps. It is saying that if using 24g kanthal wrapped around 2mm ID and want a .23 ohm resistance, then you should use 6 wraps per coil. This is what the steam engine calculator does. If I built...

OK, here is another build: And here is the measured resistance for that build: ETA: I could post more of these even. I have meters that will match the steam engine resistance or at least come very close (within a couple hundredths). These meters are measuring real resistances, and they...
