    Wattage thoughts...

I could do it with multiple builds (and show steam engine values for each) to prove you wrong, but that involves too much picture taking and uploading and is more time than it is worth. It is accurate. I do this all the time. The accuracy is not +/- x ohm, it is a percentage. A myth has been...

    Wattage thoughts...

A fancy resistance meter is not needed to measure sub-ohm. There are many cheap 510 ohm meters that are more than capable of reading these resistances. Here is an example, this is a steam-engine calculation for .15 ohm using dual coils of 22 gauge kanthal with 2mm ID. Result is 6 wraps per...

    Wattage thoughts...

I actually wrap coils at around that resistance on some of my mech mods. I know its lower than most people are comfortable, but I am well aware of battery safety. Assuming you are using something like 22g dual coils, which is what it would take to have a reasonably sized coil build at a .15...

    RDA Characteristics of "flavor" attys

I agree that the coils make a difference. I have the tools to make complicated wires, I just don't do it often. My favorite builds are a simple dual 22g coils around a 2mm ID. I can do the whole build in a couple of minutes. They heat up fast. They cover a large surface area. They make a...

How can you tell where the "fire" button is ? - looking for a new mod...

People here make it seem like this is a big deal and unregulated is only for the vapers with long-time experience. But, in fact, there is very little to learn (would take 10 minutes) and is something that all vapers should briefly study, especially if you are interested in vaping as more than a...

    Sub Ohm curious

OP is chasing clouds. ETA: and it also depends on how low the coils are. Does the subtank go down to .2 now? You need more airflow with this than mouth to lung is capable. It will be too hot. Lung hits are for flavor chasers too.

    RDA Characteristics of "flavor" attys

Well, the cloud chasing RDAs have massive airflow and are intended to be used with multiple coils and huge power. But, as you said, with the right build/amount of power, they can be immensely flavorful too.

    Sub Ohm curious

It should be smooth and tasty. As long as its above 50/50 vg/pg, I don't think the vg/pg has much to do with it. It just needs to be a good juice at 3mg nicotine. And the airflow needs to be open and right in front of the coils. If its harsh at all, something is not right so go back and...

    RDA Characteristics of "flavor" attys

It has to be low if using a mech. Thats how mechs get their power. You can still be safe with it if you understand the principles. I have never vented a battery due to an atomizer build. And I build RDAs every day. A regulated mod works differently, so you can get away with higher builds.

    RDA Characteristics of "flavor" attys

I can get great flavor with nearly any RDA. The key is using an RDA. I build it with low gauge wire at low resistance and use on mech mods... so there is a lot of power and I have a lot of airflow right at the coils and the vape is dense and warm. I think a warm vape is another key to...

    Sub Ohm curious

Something is not right with your build or your juice. Make sure you have the airflow open so you can take lung hits.

get some 3mg juice. Try something from here: thedripclub.com. You will love it.

What side effects, if at all, have you experience from vaping?

I go through bottles of e-juice rapidly. That plus the fact that I am constantly tracking USPS shipments.

new to mechanical not vaping quistions please thanks guys

The VTC5 is a great cell. It gets hot at high load continuous drain, but that should have been known well before Mooch's tests (the temperatures are on the Sony VTC5 spec sheet). But it puts out a higher voltage under load than many other 18650s and so is a perfect battery for a mech mod...

How can you tell where the "fire" button is ? - looking for a new mod...

you could learn it with a cheap RDA. Then you have a large build deck, don't have to worry about leaking tanks, can switch out top caps if you feel like it, can rebuild the whole thing without figuring out what to do with a tank filled with juice, and can even switch to different flavors on a...

    Newbie to dual coil...

If both coils are wrapped around the same ID and have the same wraps, then just make sure that they are the same distance from the posts and all the screws are tightened all the way. And give each coil a couple scratches across all of the wraps with the tip of your tweezers. They will light up...

Single or double coils? My opinion

Oh, that explains it! So the problem really is that your coolfire 4 doesn't put out enough watts for two coils. You should try it with a mech and a build around .2 ohm.

Single or double coils? My opinion

Thanks for the opinion. Here is mine: However many coils as there are air slots is the perfect amount. Since I only use RDAs, almost all are made for at least two coils. I don't want to close the airflow. I want a ton of it. And I still want a warm dense delectable vapor cloud. I love the...

Help! I want to get into RTA's and I need guidance

I think you should start with an RDA. They are easier, have better flavor, and there are far more options. Get something like a wotofo troll or sapor, mutation x, or clone of any basic 3-post RDA with traditional side airflow (like a tugboat, tobh, or stillare). You will also need some...

There are also some mech tubes that are meant to be held similar to a lollipop, and have side fire buttons. Poldiac comes to mind. And the Vamo is a regulated tube meant to be held this way as well.
