    The AFC ring is loose by design, until you tighten the barrel down over it. Are you familiar with Magmas? It works pretty much the same. You align the holes, forming your favorite crescent-moon shape, hold it with the finger of one hand while you tighten the barrel with the other.

    I can't speak for pre-builts from Ebay, but I've used 30AWG 1.5Ω coils from Fasttech without any problems, and I'm sure the ones you have aren't significantly different. Meter your build before you fire it, but after that, relax.
