Lithium batteries should be treated with respect so if you plan on modding a box, best do it properly.
If using 2 batteries they should be used as a married pair that stay together.
Up to a couple years ago regulated mods only went up to 15 watts, so people who wanted to vape higher wattage could only do it with mech mods
Another issue is a mech is a good failsafe backup. I use have mechs with kick modules for backup.
