    Maybe that's the problem. When you change coil, or liquid, you need to adjust your mod to the best flavour.

    By screw I was thinking about rebuildables. The mod probably has the resistance 'locked' at 0.54, and when you press the fire button, then it actually measures resistance.

    the smaller the coil the faster it heats up; heat capacity. It's more about the mass of wire than the ohms.

    heavy lungs you say? Yep that sounds like what happens when you vape too much vg. 5 out of 30? that's approx. 20/80 PG/VG. If you try more like 50/50 or 40/60 you should see a big improvement I reckon. If I had PG I'd use it but I don't so I use water; but its possible to use too much water...

    there's VV Variable Voltage VW Variable Wattage VT Variable Temperature Makes sense to refer to mods using nickel etcetera as Variable Temperature. Being able to keep temperature under some control with kanthal is reasonable to describe as temperature control.

    What happens with mine is it eventually kicks itself out of vt mode and into wattage mode. It's done that with a couple of my kanthal coils; I suspect if it sees the ohms actually go down instead of up when you fire the button, that might be one criteria it uses to decide if to switch from vt...
