This could also be due to the device. BJ cleared up a query I had a few pages back about the thickness of the metal used on the top cap (roof) of the tank. The thicker the steel that the wick hole is drilled through, the more adhesion between the wick and the sides of the hole, which hinders...

It's usually due to juice getting into the button. Just try to be careful when refilling etc. I wouldn't worry too much, it should have an auto shut down after 12 seconds or so anyway.

I agree with the guys a few posts back on variable wattage. I absolutely love my kick. It would be even nicer if it went past 10w. Having said that, I love the size of 14500 tubes and units. I'd really love to see somebody make a variable wattage device small enough to fit in a 14500 tube...

If your meter has a continuity function you can also use that. No beeping , no current and you're ready to go.

From what I can gather from BJ's comment, it's not so much the diameter of the wick hole as the Line and the Orion have the same size wick hole. It's the thickness of the metal used. The more metal touching the wick, the more the flow is hindered.

Yea no doubt. :toast: So with thick capped atties it would be better to roll wicks that weren't jammed through the wick hole. The less wick touching the cap, the less adhesion.

Yea the long chamber seems to be the factor. I tried that exact set up too Emonty. It worked ok, I was just surprised that it wouldn't keep up completely as the line does. I prob got about 6-7 secs before it started drying up.

    #500 SS Mesh

Hello peoples. I've been playing around with my #500 mesh and I've had some interesting results. As some of you may of seen from my video, I had amazing results with the #500 in the line. Surprisingly, in my Orion I can't achieve a good result. At first I thought that I must've been doing...

Imeo when you say ego style battery, do you mean with a disposable case? I personally think that regulated voltage is a fantastic idea. However, I'd like a permanent high quality battery tube with the weight to match the Penelope.

Well BJ I take my hat off to you sir. Received my #500 mesh today and I'm blown away. The vid below speaks for itself. 70mm rolled into the Line with 50/50 PG/VG kicked at 9.3 watts. I could of ran the whole tank vertically. Thanks again BJ, it's taken my gennies to a whole new level.

The tighter the wick, the better the wicking. 30mm isn't enough. Try at least 70mm. Your fingers will prob end up red raw, but it'll be worth it:)

Yea Imeo don't take it to heart mate. You've had a huge impact on the industry, and I admire the way that you engage with your customers and go out of your way to help those in need. It's never nice to know that somebody out there is unhappy, but sometimes things happen that are beyond our...

First of all BJ, what a fantastic thread. Just finished reading it all and what a huge advancement you have made. I'm pretty new to SS mesh and haven't been a fan of tilting. Although I have some #500 mesh on the way all I had lying around was some #325. From your earlier posts on the...
