    powdercoating is tuff as hell,i dont think my mod woulda had a scratch at all if it were powdercoated.durable stuff on the motorcycle parts ive used with it.wont stop denting on aluminium i dont think....depending on how far ya drop it...lol.

    and the easy answer from vt is to solder the wire to the top nut on the 510...duh.no ring connector needed,guess thasts why im a bricklayer and not a mod builder.

    after lookin at how the vt 510 is setup...duh it the way it was setup to use.i just hadnt used a vt setup b4.i messed some more with the fdv v5 and its not leaking anymore but i hate ive got the fdv box done and even though its huge but works fine...i think im gonna scrap it and use my other...

    so im gonna try the VT 510 in my dna200 fdv squonkbox and just using a ring terminal on the + wire and two nuts on the squonk pin....that should be ok for the pos wire comming off the dna200?...i hope.just have to get a small enuff ring terminal to fit the lil nuts...lol.that sounds funny as...

    i did one of the steam crave conversions for my first build man and it was really an easy thing to do.i still havent got magnets to hold the door on but the rubberband is still working great!the 2nd pic the other box is a fdv squonker and while wide as all get out it does fit the 1500 mah lipo...

    i took mine to my local computer store and i know the guy from when he owned radio shack,16$ is what he charged me to do one.way cheaper then me screwin up a board with too much heat.imho anyways

    i just used a butane torch to get the solder to melt and when i intalled the fdv v5 it of course leaked...bummer.so now gonna try the varitube with the dbl nut fully threaded 510 screw and see if using a ring terminal on the + wire and two nuts on the pin to make the pos connection...

    hey Tom or anyone else who may have an idea,im tryin to use 1 of the varitube 510 in the FDV squonk box,but how is the pos supossed to be attached since the threads are on the 510 screw?,the lil deal i used on the FDV v5 510 will no way fit(cuz of threads),was guessin maybe using the 2 lil nuts...
