In your opinion, is vaping gonna die

If it becomes illegal to sell but not to posses, I think vaping will become 10 times as cool and very popular. I think the biggest danger is "sensible regulation" that is not draconian enough to cause an underground market, and yet shouldn't really be considered tolerable.

Do flavor % remain the same when combining?

When combining mixed e-juices it results in mutual dilution, that is only half the level of each flavoring and the same total flavoring. However it is not predictable how strong the actual flavor will be, I've seen juices that them touching each other kills the flavor. Most often the strength is...

Bad batch of PG? (smells like acetone)

No matter how sure they can be of what they did, if you have something else somehow of course you can't "rule that out", the impossible happened.

How many watts? Can't figure this out

The coil itself is just one limiting factor. Wicking, airflow -- that you actually use -- and your lungs are the main others. Any one will limit the vape despite the others. The best vape occurs when all are in proportion, although, as one example, it's better for the coil to be too big than too...

What does it look like when a coil touches an RDA wall and shorts?

No. The 2 outer screws are ground (case), the center one is hot (insulated from case). That's the way every 3 post RDA I've ever seen is done. Simplest design. Has nothing to do with the battery unit or venting (though you do need a single coil vent mode if you want the choice to populate both...

What does it look like when a coil touches an RDA wall and shorts?

The outside posts are ground/case with the usual 3 post setup. Looking at his picture of it.

What does it look like when a coil touches an RDA wall and shorts?

The ground side of the coil is closer, that would have little effect. If he positive end of the coil contacted the wire would probably melt.

Vaping to a laptop can damage the machine?

In CRT projection TVs, if the ethylene glycol and water coolant leaks on the the circuit board, it is corrosive to powered electronics. I expect this is the water content, which does evaporate but glycol may also absorb water from the air. Even without this, humid environments can cause...

The reason NETs are so gunky and what I do to alleviate the problem

As to a sort of measure of the normal gunk level, I have some of the last of MVJ's extracts, I would say the gunk level isn't so much worse than synthetics per % flavor, but they are considered less concentrated (lots of PG/VG) e.g. use 25-30% extract in the mix. If you can use them in a mix at...

    Wire gauge Question

I think you slipped a decimal place, .08 Ω is .44 wraps on 2 mm ;) I use 1.22 ohm 28 gauge for 14 watts (hybrid MtL/DL) with Kanthal which drops to .66 with SS and all else the same (or with TC at 16.5W 410 deg.). More trouble getting mounted the first time than rewicking. I did try .6Ω with...

Kbox 8-40 watt box burns throat

When I first saw the KBox, it seemed a brilliant simplification for about 30 seconds until I realized it wasn't. But while there is no fine adjustment, one always has to adjust somewhat with technique or at least be consistent. They are 510 connector, most of the recent tanks are, which I don't...

Kbox 8-40 watt box burns throat

On the one hand, something that would work with the KBox at 8 watts wouldn't be a big leap and almost anything other than a CE4 would be an improvement. On the other hand, the KBox is such a stupid design with no fine-tunability, if I had to choose fine adjustment over range I'd go the other way...

Can non-smokers that vape potentially lead to real cigarettes?

With the amazing tobacco ejuice flavors available, I think it's more likely it would lead to smoking a pipe or cigar than cigarettes.

How often do you crave a cig?

You could be more stressed out than normal and actually want one due to needing it more than usual. I can use them somewhat as medicine as the nicotine from one doesn't put me on the floor (quite) due to vaping nic still, but that they are something I don't normally have and stronger affecting...

New vapper > gets sex headaches

While many of the people on this board switched rapidly painlessly, I took a long time. There are 7000 other chemicals in tobacco smoke other than nicotine, including whole tobacco alkaloids which are in some ways more interesting and beneficial (and more addictive) than nicotine. When I first...

Made my first DIY tobacco extract - what %?

Typically extracts are used in the 25% range but I prefer them lower. I haven't made them but the ones I bought tend towards black as well. A nice honey color in the mix will tell you you're in the range. Re "WTAs" there should be no significant nicotine content in the extract.

Hi everyone - 3 questions on vaping tobacco

"is PMI's e-cigarette considered bad in comparison to other e-cigarettes, or should I expect having a similar experience with other e-cigarettes?" You could try dozens of e-cig tobacco flavors and barely scratch the surface. Some of the original tobacco flavors are pretty bad, if you try some...

Can I microwave my ejuice to speed up steeping?

Or at the very least, put a cup of water in with the ejuice bottle to absorb some of the excess power. You're not supposed to run them that close to empty anyway. Myself, I just wait the 20 minutes to 2 days before my juices are decent. Those that use stronger flavoring levels may take longer...

FDA website giving battery safety tips for ecigs.

They don't seem to ever specify the difference between a battery cell and a e-cig battery unit (mod). The Deeming didn't either. I do think this FDA action is a slight improvement, although it also makes the deeming more justifyable. For them to be saying we're going to wipe the slate clean...
