    Why is everything so expensive?

You don't have to spend a lot. Sigelei mod: £35 IGO-L: £12 But if you want a device hand-milled out of solid copper or stainless steel and hand-engraved, then you will have to pay a living wage to the person doing it. And they won't cost minimum wage. £10-£40 per hour mounts up quickly and is...

1st small victory! And a peculiar issue...

I've seen that error a time or two from people on here, but for a juice vendor to make it is incredible and scary. For the record, it goes like this: The density of nicotine is 1.01 g/cm³. 1 cm³ is 1 ml. (It was always supposed to be, then they made the standard litre too big by 28ppm, then...

1st small victory! And a peculiar issue...

I don't know of any such app. But I would like to note that it isn't the cigarettes that you smoke that you need to count; it's the cigarettes that you don't smoke that count. This isn't a cold-turkey situation where the first failure takes you back to the start. Many people have discovered...

    In your opinion...

I would second that. With Fasttech if it says "Authentic", then it probably is. It it doesn't use that precise word, it almost definitely isn't. But with eBay you are depending on the word of some guy selling stuff out of his garage, and probably buying it as cheap as he can from Fasttech, no...

    In your opinion...

Here's a couple more suggestions ;-) Sigelei 20W gives plenty of room to grow into, but doesn't work below 7W, and you might not get even that low with a coil under 2 ohms. The SX350 chip is used in very very few mods yet, but if you can find it, it works all the way from 5W to 50W. If...

Look, I really don't know how to ask this question.

In my other life I am a moderator over on the Raspberry Pi forum. The Raspberry Pi uses micro USB power supplies, and it is quite particular about them. There are a load of very bad chargers out there. Some of them are dangerously unsafe. I've had one I bought from an independent phone shop fail...

Can't tell if I got a fake or authentic battery.

The counterfeiters can duplicate absolutely everything except the S/N. They can do holograms, scratch-panels, the lot. They could even do unique serial numbers if they could be bothered to. What they cannot do is invent serial numbers that fool an on-line checking app., because the manufacturer...

Look, I really don't know how to ask this question.

Many PCs would not be powerful enough to drive it. The USB spec says that USB equipment only has to provide half an amp. So that would be 2.5W USB chargers can, and usually do, provide more. Many PCs don't bother to limit it either. Handy Hint: if you do draw too much power from a PC, you will...

How Many FastTech Addicts On Here?

Even when it's marked as authentic, don't believe them. It may well be, or it may be close enough that nobody can tell the difference, but it may well not be. If it isn't marked "authentic", then it isn't. Some of the clone stuff is good. Some is rubbish. If you read the reviews and discussions...

Concerned about not being able to turn down power

Provari Mini £160 (~$260) Provari Mini V2.5 [VE435-ST3] - £160.00 : Vape Escape SX350 £49.95 (~$80) YIHI SX350 CHIP The only SX350 box mod I can track down is the The Atlas by Tatroe Mods for $234. Yes I know that would be internationally shipped and the Provari is locally sourced, but...

    Quartz as wick?

Quartz is very clean, uses up 100% of the liquid and can be rinsed clean. The vapour production is not great and it is probably limited to drippers with vertical or slanted coils. It is also not too easy to find and probably not the easiest to coil. My guess would be that it is an interesting...

    Buying myself surprise presents

And of course, now I don't care how long it takes, the first order is here in half the time vape-mail takes :-D I'm still going. Not quite managing to forget what I ordered, but it's still fun.

Donate to Dr Farsalinos' new study

No. He has too much respect for science... and you. The donations came from the e-cig industry and consumers in about equal amounts. (It might have been 75:25)

Donate to Dr Farsalinos' new study

I would have thought that there would be some legal responsibility, once you know that your product may cause disease, that you disclose that fact. Merely giving information that a well-informed customer could use to ascertain that fact would not, in my ill-educated opinion, be sufficient.

This title just came across my fb wall. Thoughts?

That is precisely how the media works. They never tell lies but they don't have to tell the truth either and they can ask any questions they like in whatever way they like. In my fifty-three years, I've seen a dozen or two mass-media articles where I had detailed knowledge of the story myself...

New study says vaping at high volts causes formaldehyde, size of particles in pv is more dangerous

In certain sections of this board you will see a yellow banner warning about the risks of using higher powers. I strongly feel that the dry-hit taste will be discernible before any damaging level of contamination is reached, but that's just my gut feeling. As Dr Farselinos says, the study has...
