    The Erlkönigin : PICTORIAL

Maths is beautiful sometimes. 4 in series times 4 in parallel. It all cancels out and you're left with a factor of 1. The whole thing has the same resistance as one of the coils. Judging from the picture, maybe an ohm? But you'd have to drive it with 16x the power, four times the voltage. And...

Vapor ohms/volt/watts charts How do they come up with them.

Kangertech recommend 3.3V for 1.8 ohms and 3.7V for 2.4 ohms. That's about 6W, which I find is a good place to be with Protanks and EVODs. But I'm vaping at 20W at the moment. The difference being that it's on a Fogger V4 with a dual coil and more efficient wicking. If I was to swap it out for...

    Battery Question-did I make a mistake?

IMR are Li-ion. All Li-ion batteries are more or less dangerous when misused. However the older ICR chemistry types will burn, whereas the newer IMR chemistry type will not. The Sony VTC5 are IMR.

bought a sx350 chip for my own mod. got some questions.

You could always use a "reserve tank" system. Have a switch to select which battery you're using. It'd have to take the full 12.5A of course, but wouldn't have to switch it, so there wouldn't be any arcing.

    Can ecigs pass airport security?

The first time I went through security, outgoing UK, I was asked to show them my K100 because of the unusual outline. The guy on the X-ray was fairly sure what it was but just wanted it checked. That's the only time anyone has so much as raised an eyebrow.

Big Ecig (a.k.a. Big Tobacco) is heavy-handed, strong-armed, and deep-pocketed

If you split anything into Republicans vs Democrats, you've bought into the propaganda. There's no IQ requirement for being a politician and no party has a monopoly on idiocy or corruption.

    why vv/vw??????

It's also encased in solid metal. Good luck trying to get a satellite fix.

    why vv/vw??????

Believe me, I'm a software engineer: there's no way to hack a VV/VW mod and nothing in there to hack. You might be able to break an evic, but that's all you could do, and you'd have to plug a wire into it. None of the others are susceptible at all. There are no GPS chips in any mod.

FDA BT (and BT alone) wrote these regulations?

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. The trouble is, it only looks a bit like a duck and it barks like a dog. Never mind, nobody will notice. Nobody that matters, anyway.

    Can ecigs pass airport security?

I've flown UK-USA and UK-Holland-Panama with eGos, Protanks and a mech in my carry-on, with absolutely no problems. E-cigs are banned from import into Panama (maybe only import for sale; I can't read the law in Spanish and the media reports are vague.) Even so I had no problems.

    battery question

That's hilariously funny. No really; it is.

(US) - Are mechanical mods part of the problem?

No. In fact it might even be seen to be counter-productive. Nobody has attacked mech-mods. They have attacked high-voltage.

    New member, looking for advice...

A Provari in the EU is not as compelling as it is in the US. It is expensive ($300) and the warranty doesn't mean much if you have to ship it across the Atlantic. In this case the cousin could bring it across so the cost wouldn't be horrible but I'd think twice about it. One more point: if you...

Vaping is a journey and where we start is only rarely where we end up, but we have to make that journey; only experience teaches us what we need and how to use the more advanced pieces of kit. My suggestion would be an MVP2 with a Nautilus. Then a couple of 650mAh eGo batteries as backup, an...

    Ran into one today.

That isn't absolutely certain... Not trying to make an argument here, certainly not one I would defend, just shooting the breeze... The homo genus has had fire for probably over a million years. Over the vast majority of that time they were habitually sitting around a campfire for hours every...

Big Ecig (a.k.a. Big Tobacco) is heavy-handed, strong-armed, and deep-pocketed

The first link has nothing to do with Big Tobacco. That's our people behaving badly. :-( The second link is saying that BT is behind the e-cig. That is totally wrong-headed. If BT pulled out of the market today, nobody would notice. This is just ANTZ trying to spin. The third link is out of...

Changing from cigs to e-cigs is great... But feels like I've lost my best mate!

You do get an atomiser with that of course, and a spare tank means you can have more than one flavour current. But if you want the batteries, you can get those separately, as you can the atomisers. There's no need to go for a starter kit each time. EVOD 650 Batteries [VE506] - £13.99 : Vape...

Changing from cigs to e-cigs is great... But feels like I've lost my best mate!

Vapeescape do them for £5. http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Clearomisers/EVOD-BC-Clearomiser.html?cPath=7_88 I dare say you could find cheaper, but you would be running an increasing risk of getting a knock-off or horrible customer-support. Fasttech do 5 for $17.05: $17.05 Authentic...

FDA BT (and BT alone) wrote these regulations?

BT, BP and ANTZ are all different parties with different agendas. None of them are friendly toward us. BT is happy with e-cigs so long as they can control the market. That's difficult as things stand, but if the market was half a dozen cig-a-likes with an expensive barrier to market entry, that...
