How much nicotine is there per ml of e liquid?

There's a unit discontinuity between metric weight* and volume. The metric system uses a set of simple units: metre, gram, second, etc. Those are then modified as needed by prefixes that indicate a multiplier. So we get a thousand meters is a kilometre, and a thousandth of a metre is a...

Changing from cigs to e-cigs is great... But feels like I've lost my best mate!

Welcome to ECF, sammym. By all means, go outside and vape. There's nothing wrong with doing that and if it helps you, it's all good. I know what you mean about smoking nazis. It seems there is something about quitting smoking that turns some people into the worst type of busybodies. I haven't...

    Boiling cotton evidence

I don't understand the point of using distilled water. In the UK, and I assume the USA and most other countries, the water coming out of the taps is very pure. We drink gallons of the stuff, boiled and unboiled, and we hang around in kitchens while boiling vegetables and inhale the steam for...

    Kayfun NEWBIE

I think the Science of Vaping V2 glass kit is the only one that screws together. The chimney screws onto the top cap. The other one (and the V1) are friction fit only.

    Ran into one today.

ANTZ have an agenda. It is to totally end all use of tobacco by the year 2000... errm... eventually... as soon as possible. To do that, they think nothing of twisting statistics and medical studies. This is a war, and everything is fair. Up until now they have been engaging the tobacco...

FDA FDA approves new product for market (in 2013)

There's a BT who's sure all that glitters is gold And they're buying a stairway to heaven. When they get there they know, if the stores are all closed With a word they can get what they came for. Ooh, ooh, and they're buying a stairway to heaven. There's ANTZ's writing on the wall but the...

    The e-cig that goes BOOM!

The question you need to answer is what circuitry is inside the battery, and you can't ever answer that, even for the good brands. It's just that good brands are more likely to have good circuitry. A good charger (and there's another variable) supplies 420mA at 5 volts. A lithium battery...

    Making battery contacts

I don't think there is such a thing as a copper spring; it's too soft. All the sprung contacts I have ever seen are brass. It will be a particular type of brass, heat treated in a certain way. The data is probably out there in Google-land. Edit: I went on the Internet and I found this: Spring...

FDA FDA approves new product for market (in 2013)

Big Pharma wants effective e-cigs stopped. Big Tobacco is OK with e-cigs, so long as they control the market. If we leave it up to them, we will end up with all-in-one disposables that don't work. And the FDA? Here's link I found earlier: FDA Bans Wood from Cheese-Making; Industry Decries...

    Klein Tools MM100 Multi Meter

It isn't very clear, but there white lines between each of the types of measurement. At about six o'clock, the 200m is in the volts section (200mV) and the 2M is in the ohms section (2 Megohm). Anti-clockwise of 200ohms is a white line and the single measurement in that section is the audible...

    Klein Tools MM100 Multi Meter

You are using the right "200" setting? The one for ohms is the one on the right at the 3 o'clock position. The one for volts is on the left at about 8 o'clock. The correct setting for volts with this meter would be "20" though, at about 7 o'clock. 2k means 2,000 and 20k means 20,000. You don't...

    The e-cig that goes BOOM!

In a few more years, you'll be able to buy cheap, knock-off batteries for your electric car -- several kWh of lithium battery.

    Cloud-Chasers are Evil People

That reminds me of when I'm taking our dog for a walk off the lead in the local park. Quite often someone with a dinky little toy dog will pick them up. Whether that's because they don't trust mine or they don't trust theirs I have no idea. With ever-increasing watt limits on regulated mods...

    Clearo that doesn't leak

Any clearo with the air-hole on the side rather than through the 510 connector, will not piddle on the battery. So the Aerotank (or the Protank with an aero base) will give you a dry battery, as will a Nautilus or any of the Kayfun family.

    Good rebuildable for taste testing?

Have you tried using the same wire in a stove-top coil? It seems likely, although not necessarily true, that more coil in contact with the eliquid would be better. A stove-top would let you put the whole thing in contact with the liquid.

Technology that needs to be regulated out of existence NOW!

There's an apocryphal statistic that says the average speed of traffic in London is the same as it was before the motor car was invented.

    Good rebuildable for taste testing?

It reminds me of the maniac who was using loads of twisted wires and not even a negative post. Enough twists can act as a wick, but the more wires you twist together, the lower your resistance goes. It does make me wonder how well it might work with thinner wire. But that would be less stable...

    Good rebuildable for taste testing?

The Igo W is dual-coil, which means there's twice as much wick to swap out between flavours. I'd go for the Igo-L: single coil and large enough to get your fingers in. The Igo-S is rather small.

    airports?

yeah, I've heard that. I've also had a penny set off the metal detector. I wouldn't risk it. I had to show security my K100, because it's an odd shape (http://www.p-vaper.co.uk/WebRoot/Store2/Shops/es152439/51D9/83D9/181B/08BA/9098/0A0F/1119/89C0/Black_K100.jpg) But only once. Everything else...

What is a "base" in an atomizer kit?

I'm not acquainted with that particular atomiser, but it will be the part that the battery screws on, and probably the atomiser and tank screws on on the other side of it. From left to right: tank, atomiser, base, battery
