IF this is true......then why is nobody else doing it?

I'm not an analytic chemist, but I can make some headway. So far as I can see, neither of the analysis reports on the site were testing for either diacetyl or acetyl propionyl, including the one which specifically says it was. This is what an Enthalpy Analytics test for DA and AP looks like...

I'm Loving vaping so far....but i don't get the buzz i get from cigarettes :(

Generally I don't get a buzz with vaping, because I am taking a toke or two and putting it down for a while. With a cigarette I'd be waiting an hour or two and then smoking for 10-15 puffs straight. If I'm forced to vape like that, such as when I'm in a no-vaping office, then I'll often get a...

ECF is Preparing to Move to New Forum Software

+1 There's nothing in there but a warning about advertising a non-approved blog. My uncle told me a funny story about when he came across a rotary phone for the first time and failed to understand how to use it. A couple of years back I was in a museum of communications which had a...

    Help, tips and tricks

The best way to dangle your feet in the water is to get a cheap single-coil dripper. You can practise building coils and wicks without all the fiddling about with leaks and dry hits that you can get with a tank, and it's easy and quick to pull out one failed build and put in the next. Wire and...

    Is this normal? $$$$$

I'm never ever going to make a profit here. I was buying most of my tobacco duty free twice a year. Maybe £160 for the year plus papers and filters. These days I can drop £80 on a new tank or a new mod. I've got £60-ish of bits sitting around waiting for me to get my finger out and start making...

    Some guy told me.

Nice study here. e-cigs are 96% safer for you and the people around you than cigarettes, and of that remaining 4%, at least half is due to the perceived harm of being addicted to something. Estimating the Harms of Nicotine-Containing Products Using the MCDA Approach - FullText - European...

    Some guy told me.

I've just come back from two weeks in another office where vaping is banned indoors. It is so nice to sit at my desk and take a toot whenever I feel the need, rather than wait until I can bear the thought of traipsing down the corridor, through the security door, down the lift, through the...

    Strong vaping mod/tank

I'm on a Sigelei 20W with a Squape/R. It's pretty much solid metal. The only weak points are the drip-tip (I like glass) and the 510 connector. Hybrid connectors have a larger diameter and would be stronger but, screwed down tight, the 510 doesn't seem too vulnerable. I've got used to 18650...

Vaping 0mg made me extremely ill

Nausea and dizziness, probably nicotine or Chantrix. But all that, sweating and a lowered body temperature, is a health event serious enough to check with a doctor.

Thought I had Heard It All

Throat-hit is a major part of the experience that somewhat replicates the cigarette experience, and is also what makes one cough.

Has anyone heard this one yet ?

If you are using an EGO or anything more advanced, then the answer is that you are inhaling no more than you would using a mobile phone. If you are using a cig-a-like, then it is very, very unlikely that you will be inhaling any chemicals from the battery, but if it worries you, upgrade to an...

How much wattage or voltage do I really need?

Be aware of the minimum wattage as well as the maximum. With a spinner you are used to vaping at around 5-6W. Many of the higher powered mods don't go below 7W.

Voltmeter and on off switch wiring diagram

One terminal of the switch is connected to the battery positive. Everything else that would normally connect to the battery instead connects to the other terminal of the switch. If you want to measure the voltage of the battery, connect the voltmeter negative terminal of the meter to the battery...

    Basic battery fact needed

The USB spec includes specifications for power supplies, which don't communicate and are allowed to go above 500mA. In practice, I think every EGO charger supplies (upto) 420mA, without exception. I'd be interested if anyone has a counter-example.

    Basic battery fact needed

I'm sure it doesn't, but you won't find out what that charge current is unless you open them up and find a datasheet for the particular cell they use. EGO batteries are designed to be charged with EGO chargers. With few exceptions all EGO batteries use the same chargers: 420mA and 4.2V. Whether...

    Basic battery fact needed

Invariably, lithium cells like the 18650 et al have a rated charge current of C. That does not necessarily apply to EGO-type batteries which are invariably charged at 420mA, that being C for the smallest of them and just under the highest current that can be reliably sourced from a computer's...

    Basic battery fact needed

4.2V is right. Any more than that and you'll damage them. They may be able to take more current though.
