A couple of things that eliminated new coil message for me...
Use a higher amp battery.
Remove set screw in deck and move deck up and down a few times to improve ground
Check ground screw under bottom plate
You can't get a mod with this format for the price of clone and an evolve dna40 chip..total cost under 100 bucks. It's the form factor that makes this mod. The clone is well built. If you can swap out the chip if needed it's a no brainer
I would not hesitate to swap out a chip in these clone mods...if it was any other mod I would just trash it.... this is a keeper even if the chip ends up needing replaced
Read through this thread and then make your choice....with that said maybe I am just lucky but I would not trade mine for anything currently out there in the market place. I went into knowing I might have to trade out the clone chip. My clone chip does everything it should...part of me kinda...
The second one giving you the errors would be a good test of my theory that its a grounding issue. If you can... remove the set screw in 510 plate and screw the 510 plate up and down 20 times or so in effort to improve the ground there. Also check the ground screw under bottom plate. Since I...
Now my only issue..am I missing enough without an evolve dna...my clones are error free but the evolve chip can be had for less than 50 bucks and I am sure I can install it without much hassle
Some people expect perfection in 50 dollar range....much less the 250 dollar range.
With a little tinkering with one of mine they are now both rock solid
Just a little fyi... I live in a pretty small school district less than 50 in senior class more of a country setting. A local student told me the other day that alot of the students have and use ecigs far more use than cigarettes... I was surprised that many even heard of ecigs
I think the ground is iffy on 510 plate. It improved mine a lot by taking set screw out of plate then screwing the plate up and down a few times. Then replace set screw but look for a spot that is not paint covered
Nice job. She is wide but does not feel that bad in your hand. My son in law is pretty rough on his gear (my gear...don't ask) and it has never failed for 35 watt max it does work well and priced real cheap. I do prefer my xvo clones though
