    What Can You Do Today!?!

I'm posting my thread, the good doctor's blog, and the ECA release. I could go ahead and post the raw studies, but I'm not sure anyone would pay attention. Any other ideas of things that we can do Bob?

Please name an unbiased source who will pay for such a study to be done, and then ask him to go ahead and do it. No matter what, someone is going to say "So and so funded the study, so it skews toward them." The only way you're going to combat that is if Ruyan, Smoore, ECA, end-users, the...

Facts regarding the FDA Press Release - 7/22 (repost)

Well Spikey, it's a decent editorial, no major crap-ups. I'm not a huge fan of your approach (as you don't seem to be of mine), but I guess we need as many voices speaking in as many ways as we can. In that spirit, well done. -Nate

Smoking Everywhere V. FDA Daily Docket Sheet Update--APPEAL's COURT ISSUES STAY

Jann - It's true! (Well, sort of.) I posted about it here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/campaigning/28246-facts-regarding-fda-press-release-7-22-repost.html This should help you understand what they're saying, and take the fear element out of their statement. -Nate

Discussion of data presented in FDA material

The 100 ml you refer to is the inhalation volume. They "inhaled" 100 ml of gas through the device for x number of times (I don't have it in front of me) and then tested that.

Here's another table showing levels of Nitrosamines in new tobacco products: http://www.starscientific.com/404/stepanov%20tsna%20in.pdf All of the measurements are in micrograms, so multiply by 1000 to get nanograms (the standard we seem to be dealing with). According to this study...

Why would they do that? It would give Judge Leon an avenue to rule against them in the SE/Njoy vs FDA case, and take the e-cig out of their regulatory hands. A lot about what's happening here makes no sense to me.

no, as in they blocked out what the method was... the quote is: on page 6 http://www.fda.gov/downloads/Drugs/ScienceResearch/UCM173250.pdf I'm no scientist, but I can't see how this is a scientifically sound study. There's no hypothesis, there's no reason given for testing for...

i just dissected the report as best as i could in the other thread. i also noticed that their control was apparently only tested for level of nicotine. also, anyone else notice that one of their methods was redacted?

Facts regarding the FDA Press Release - 7/22 (repost)

OK.. scouring this damnedable report to figure out what they're trying to say about TSNAs, I *think* that they tested for each one at varied detectable levels. For instance, N-nitrosoanabasine (NAB) was detectable at 21 ppb. They are essentially saying that the Njoy cartridges had at least 141...

You've hit it Lacey - My point is that it's irrelevant their reasons for issuing this report. What IS relevant is that it is misleading and irresponsible. Now is the time to counter what they are saying with facts and start fighting for the product that we believe in. Sitting around talking...

Re: age - if every supplier could do that, that would be fantastic! Re: the chart - Looks like those values are in micrograms. The Health New Zealand figures are in nanograms. 1 microgram = 1000 nanograms. I'm a little confused as to how you arrived at 0.7684 micrograms for electronic...

    Fda news release

Guys, seriously. It's irrelevant. I could say the same thing about you OutWest. You're a supplier, so obviously the only reason you're trying to keep it out of the FDA's hands is so that you can make money. I'm not trying to insult you, but that's how easy it is to be misconstrued. So...

Don- I appreciate your opinion, but we really need to stay on point here. Let's use facts to build our rebuttal, not speculation. As I posted in the other thread, we should develop a standard reply to the children argument and use it as often as they bandy about their claims. My suggestion is...
