    my wick comes up much higher than the image of bstedh's. Has anyone noticed any impact by the height of the wick and pins?

    Got mine working pretty well after I made a new wick with 45º bias. Could really use a good method to fine tune the air flow, but I guess that's why there is a v5-6 to look forward to :)

    So I tried the 45º bias even though it waste a fair amount of material with these smaller sheets. Bent great, no kinks, all was well in the world. Then I put it to the Bernzomatic to carbonize it and noticed it smoked a little more than usual. Yep...wasn't paying attention and left the wire...

    I beveled the edge, but I didn't have a 45º bit on hand to do it. I had to use a regular Dremel sanding bit.

    How is everyone getting these rubber washers to work? bstedh when you said you cut about 1/8" from it, did you mean that you cut through completely and then used it like a rubber rope gasket? I've shaved off some of the rubber by rolling the scubagen with a razor against the gasket. This works...

    bstedh in post #341 it doesn't look like you have the ceramic sleeve? Were you able to find a way to burn off the impurities?
