    I used to do something similar with mesh. You can bend it so it's a cup shape and put it in to the cart chamber with liquid behind it. If you space it correctly it'll rest on the bridge of an atty and wick that way...Kept running in to flooding issues and moved on to a different mod :oops:

    I'm having issues soldering the nichrome to the wires off an atty connector. I'm using 62/36/2 rosin-core solder silver bearing from Radio Shack..Soldering doesn't want to stick, but I think I saw this discussed here somewhere?

    Are you getting a dry taste when taking a vape? With drip tips I found that sometimes the juice hits the edge and would get in my mouth instead of landing on the wick or bridge. I had the best experience when carefully dripping down the center of the drip tip....but again if you are adding 5-7...

    Check the voltage of the battery to make sure it's not dead. Check the atty on a multimeter to see if the resistance is where it should be. Typically 4-5 drips is normal, if your putting 8 in there you may also be flooding it. The trick for me was learning how to identify the dry and flooded...

    So I guess I can use the silica strands used to reinforce the rope, but I don't want to use the rope material itself since it reacts to heat. I'll pick up a foot of 3/8 #3 from McMaster, appears to be a popular choice.

    It's lighter and pulls apart easily. When put to flame it turns a grayish color and seems to break apart more easily. The thread on the lower part of the picture is stronger and looks light the material you posted. I'm assuming it woven into the rope for strength?
