    A question from a complete techno-tard

I wonder if they put a thermistor in the wick or something?

    3D Printed ProVari Case/mod

I bought a 3D printer back in April and finally getting some free time to make some ecig stuff with it. I made an ecig desk caddy and battery holder a couple months ago, but that was about it. Here is a ProVari case(?) I designed and made today. I need to tweak the measurements a little, but...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Right, the resistance wire is much softer then. It's also a good trick for bothersome imperfections in a 'J' style SS wick. Fire the atty and tap the coil where it passes over the dip and it'll bend down to meet the wick.

Nice Dan! So basically the coil will match the threading of the bolt used? Sent from my DROID2 using Tapatalk 2

Wouldn't you want the pos position to be able to slide parallel to the wick so you could slide it forward as you spun it? Maybe a positive strip? Edit: I guess this would take three hands to operate the coil, turn the wick, and push button

Many are using a DID clone. They have a bunch of names like DUD etc and only run about $20. Sent from my DROID2 using Tapatalk 2

Any recipe sites that break down based on my flavors?

Luckily only had to remove a couple users and all the spam was erased. I have email verification enabled to reduce the spam. Search by Flavorings Used | Community Vapebook

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I had a rough box printed by Shapeways a couple years ago, but with shipping time etc I didn't use it before I received my SGV3 and ProVari so nothing ever came of it. In fact I finally threw out that box about two weeks before I learned of the printers for home use. I bought a Solidoodle 3...

I should have my first 3D printer in about 6 weeks...wish box mods were still 'in style'. It's OT, but I had to boast somewhere ;)

Any recipe sites that break down based on my flavors?

Yea I've noticed that and been kind of lax about it because of low traffic. I use the site for the calculator and that's about it until more recipes are added. I'll go through and clean it up in the next couple days. The site works great though :)

Grinding to .120 sounds like a good idea, and you don't have any leakage around the wick? My frustration has been that even though I grind to .125, and use a size gauge, they still get stuck in the wick hole and snap.

If it required any reinforcement, even being that thick, hypodermic tubing (or needle) would probably be a good place to start. Stainless Steel 304 Hypodermic Round Tubing, 15 Gauge, 0.0720" OD, 0.054" ID, 0.009" Wall, 60" Length: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I haven't worked on this in a couple weeks because of a cut finger (not modding), but for the two I made with it, the bench grinder helped keep the shape more uniform than a Dremel wheel. Seemed like each wick I made with the diamond wheel was tapering at the ends. My technique I'm sure, but the...

How well are your through-hole coils working? The wick I have now was made with a drill bit, but it's not perfectly symmetrical and has hot spots. I bought a similar set off Amazon that I use for shaping of the top. 20pc Industrial Diamond Burr Set for Rotary Tools - Unique Shapes - Amazon.com

Second attempt at a through-hole coil. Snapped part of the wick off on the grinder, and the hole isn't as symmetrical as I'd like, but so far so good. 2.0 ohm 34g (I believe this is 34g they sent with the DID clone). So far can only handle 3.8v on the ProVari, but I still need to break it in...
