    801's throat hit < 901 throat hit?

    Is the 801 cooler than the 901? That might be a contributing factor. It seems the 901 gets pretty hot and I don't have a 801, so I don't know. The taste is radically different between my M401 and my DSE901. 901 seems hotter almost a scorched taste compared to the smoothness of the M401.
