Well. Maybe "perfect" was the wrong term. Buyer beware... I removed the ERA from this mod and replaced w/ another RBA. Very wobbly screwing on. Tried another, won't tighten. Another. Another. It looks like the previous owner gripped the bottom threads on the ERA w/ pliers. Probably thought... -

Me too. Picked up a VVG that is perfect condition. And so well cleaned it looks unused. Got the VVG, an ERA RBA, a sharp looking serenity sleeve, and 4 pairs of 2 month old AW IMR batteries - for the price of a VVG and the ERA. Plus the seller included some undiscussed items. Battery cases... -

What kind of juice are you using? I can't explain why but I've found the RBA's seem hotter. Even at identical wattage/voltage of a conventional atty or carto. More efficient or something, I have no idea. 8 watts is really high for me. I usually like around 6. As a test, I just tried some Pluid... -

I have three of the A7's and like them all. Have never had a problem with them. Your five points are good ones. I have a cnc machinist neighbor and he said he'd gladly drill a side hole if I can tell him what size and where. I hope munkey will post what he has done that has worked. -

I really don't think blind squonking applies to RBA's. Yeah, you can do it with A7's or the side venting ones (if you cover the hole with a finger tip) but you really don't need to. Use time. I think I read this somewhere on here, but it may just be the voices in my head again. What has worked... -

Yes. I think it was JC Okie who posted this link: Aunt Lydia's Bamboo Crochet Thread Size 10 Natural | eBay. I guess the hobby stores carry it (Hobby Lobby and Michaels). I never looked. The bamboo worked well for me, but I prefer using cotton balls. Too easy, cheap, and obtainable. -
