It really is a shame, Amber. There was a different set of unspoken rules for each house and each counselor. The sad thing is the head of the organization was really big on her belief of the kids needing structure but didn't carry it through to the staff. Very frustrating and very disheartening...- AStilettoHeel

I'm the same way; a busy ASH is a happy ASH. I was studying to be a substance abuse counselor. I worked for a year in the field with teens in a 30 day detox, both boys and girls, but I became soured on the experience due to the organization I worked for.
