No effect. It's stable just wrong. And one of the first things I checked was to see if any part of the coil was touching deck. I learned the little trick a while ago when I as having issues with resistance. After I put my W deck back in I built a 29ga coil and tore that out and put a 30ga coil... -

K so I just hit the fire button and it took its reading and it's at .24ohms. See there's just no way. I have 6/7 wraps of 30ga that's always, always been .15. I've built this thing so much I know for a fact it should be .15. What could be causing my base resistance to be so high. Stumped. -

510 PIN is very stable. I even took it completely out and cleaned the threads with alcohol. It's strange because what should be a .15 build is registering at almost .30 it's like somewhere, somehow the base or the deck is upping my resistance. It's not jumping like something's loose or not... -

@Phone Guy order tempered from StealthVape. 30ga tempered for sure. It just works. It takes roughly 10 days to get here but so worth it. You can used compressed coils....I have. But if you're not firing the coil to work out the hot spots prior to wicking, you can end up with hot spots and a crappy coil and vape. And that always seemed to happen to me. Some do dry fire nickel. I choose not to. And with spaced coils I never have... -

So I started to watch some of the videos posted here. This thing looks like a trip to build on. Very interesting. Is there a reason behind the post screws being on the side of the cup instead of on top? If you're legs touch the sides of the cup when your attaching your coil, will that not...- Rikk

Are you guys going to grab that Squonker Flask when it drops, or do you already have it? I've never squonked, really never wanted to until this one from VF. And you know when you think about it, Squonking and nickel will be a great match. -

Thanks for the clarification on the screen glitch issues. Totally knew that one wasn't on VF. I guess I just rolled them all up in one to keep it short(er) ;) So true on the box mods. Like you, I had no desire for a box mod until the Vapor Flask. For me it went from boxy to sexy. Love it! -

Decided to quickly watch a build video of the new Calix before I attempted to build the new B deck and just awoke to a nice kinked neck. Why does TV do that to me any more. Oh well, tomorrow's my Saturday so I'll attempt it then when I'm totally refreshed. Maybe then we'll find out if this... -

I know right. How hard can it be to count 8 damn wraps. I'm certainly going to try your touchy feely way next time. Maybe then I won't need to hold it right up to my nose and use a flashlight. LOL! -

Me too, and maybe too much. You sort of forget how small this stuff is to work on until you have the build deck in your hands. And I need to get a magnifying glass or just stronger reading glasses because these small coils are getting impossible to see any more. You otta see my trying to count... -

You know it's too bad that the Flask got 2 big black eyes because of the screen glitches and battery issues that many got stuck with. But I got my Flask at the beginning of this year and all I can say is I absolutely love it. But I've had none of those issues that others had, so my experience... -

Same here as all I have is 28, 29 and 30ga. I might revisit twisting some up and see how that goes again. A lot of people seem to have good success twisting nickel, where I sort of sucked at it. But will definitely try again with the new mega deck. -

But in reviewing YouTube for build videos for the Calix, I ain't finding any. That can't be right can it? Has anyone here done build videos of/on the Calix. If so...- Rikk
