Seriously, for wick-fu mastery grab an igo-w. Its a solid performer that takes some skill to get it to shine... but is under $20.
Solid up to 0.2 ohms in my testing and can make juice sing if done well, yet is simple enough that my 10 yr old can build it in a few mins.

Suggestion, take an old pill bottle and wrap a few solid "everyday" coils. Keep them handy and be ready to rewick and rock a dripper at all times.
Too many lessons learned from experience here. I still pack a cotton ball for emergencies and some wire in a dime bag, along with nail clippers...
I had heard somewhere that the AW was a "handpicked" selection by Andrew Wong (I probably have the name wrong) and not a manufacturer's mark... could still be real IMR's though.
