Just built my third coil. A rebuild of the one of my first two. Coil was a little gunky. I would have vaped it another week in that state before I began recoiling
1.4 ohms yet again. 29 gauge kanthal 2mm diameter 5 1/2 wraps.
Upgraded from nail clippers and little blue screwdriver to...
Out of principle I got the 3lb box. It's twice the size and only $3 more.
I laughed at myself for quite a while knowing even the smaller box would have lasted an eternity.
Well, maybe they are the same. My Pico battery was reading 3.99. Put each battery from my TC100 in the Pico and they both read 3.65. Put the original battery back in and it was back to 3.99.
I guess I was just concerned about how "married" my batteries were in the TC100. I have a 4 bay...
Good find. I just tried this in my TC100 where I am concerned that the batteries are draining at the same rate. With both batteries in and with each battery in separately the reading was 3.66 volts.
Although I'd like to believe they were both exactly 3.66 I have some doubts. I even turned...

To the person that asked about the stock coils:
The 1.5 ohm coils are wonderful. For at least a year before Cheech and others discovered the joy of rebuilding these, we would all discuss how wonderful they are. The GS series of tanks and the 1.5 ohm coils are great.
As to what to wrap your...
Just built another one. 1.4 ohms. I make 6 wraps then undo the first one. I can't believe how easy this is.
I cut a foot of wire for the first one. When I was done I had about 7 inches left. I was able to use that piece to build the second coil.
At $7.50 for 100 feet that's 3.75 cents per...
I think I got lucky. My VERY first attempt at making a coil. I think it was 5 wraps around a 14 gauge needle. The 400 mesh seems to be working well.
I din't see any "insulator" in the coil. I think I remember hearing some have them some don't.
I bought the 3lb box of Rayon from Sally's.
