Thanks. I clicked join, but all I see is member names. Nevermind. I see that my membership is "Pending". I don't do a lot of FB, but I'll probably see you there later.

Woa, getting busy in here! :-) Facebook? I have an FB account around here somewhere. Is it pretty active there? Got link?

    Disappointing first vape.

It's definitely not the same as drawing on a cigarette. One thing I tell people trying it for the first time is to treat it (almost) like a cigar or a pipe. Pull the vapor into your mouth, then exhale through your nose. Word is that you absorb more nicotine from the vapor in your mouth than in...

    Let's Talk Hardware

The last (only) one I had was integrated in the reel-to-reel player. But they were both killed by my cassette player. I still have a dual cassette player.

    Let's Talk Hardware

I remember getting curious about the Rose some time ago, and thought it was too expensive. Now that I have the Estia and Erlkönigin, I may have to rethink that. I am primarily a dripper/bf'er, but tanks do have their place in my rotations. Besides, I'm either going to PIF or sell 2 of my three...

    Magnetic screwdrivers? No problem!

Yea, I didn't mean to come of as cranky (that tends to happen when I post pre-coffee). I've used nyiddle's method for years and it works just great. They sell magnets made specifically for this purpose, but they're just magnets enclosed in plastic.

    Magnetic screwdrivers? No problem!

 This seems like a great idea for the Not Advisable sub forum. Magnet(izing) wire is insulated and any moving parts are not rubbing directly against that insulation. You are suggesting that we run a ferrous material through a non-insulated coil. Sure, Kanthal has a very thin layer of...

    Box Mod vs Vamo.

It's your event Heavyrocker. You mentioned a Vamo in one corner, but which box mod is in the other corner? (Please announce this in Michael Buffer's voice) Waiting for the blow by blow commentary (in Howard Cosell's voice). I see by your sig that you have a Hana 20. Is that the challenger?

    The PV Picture Game

Perfect! And thank you both for the service. It's not easy serving in the military, even in "peace time". It can be just as hard on military families. Speaking as a vet and a military brat, I appreciate it.

Very well, thanks nyiddle. Just thinking about some family and friends today, so . . . Challenge #230: Your PV honoring military veterans in some way - folded flag, parade, medals, uniform, military issue weapon, whatever in the background. The strike through has been unstricken.

    For our Vets!!

To my father who flew several tours in battle. To his twin brother who died in service. To all those who shed their blood for us. To all those who served or are still serving. THANK YOU! Former USN, ET1: 1986-1995

    The PV Picture Game

Luckily, the only thing that got broken other than the fan was a water glass. Doesn't matter to me. I think the rules stated that first post wins it, but I'll defer to Cullin's decision. On the other hand, if I see another challenge that brings up my catastrophes, I'll... well I otta, well . . .

    The PV Picture Game

Aaaack! Oh the memories! Oh the pain! You did that on purpose! Ceiling fan fell on my Dibi Sumpin' and a computer this October: The mod won in the end, though: Challenge #230: Your PV honoring military veterans in some way - folded flag, parade, medals, uniform, military issue weapon...

I'm not much of a bunny food kind of guy, but here's what I've been using lately when Ms Twist makes me eat salad. Challenge 225: Your PV in the window. Is it antsy to go out and play or is it looking forlornly at the bad weather?

I'm thinkin' maybe we should try this again? . . . . and you kids should behave yourselves

Good grief. There's a word for that?! I guess it's better than "pulled a Michael Jackson". Or would that refer to lighting one's hair on fire? Or would that be more like pulling a Richard Prior? OK, I guess I should dig through the trash and find my cocktail napkin project list...

    Let's Talk Hardware

Yep. It's all revealed in the numbers. The PWM in this device is around 48Hz, which may be better than the 33Hz used by most of the low cost PWM devices. PBusardo showed that it is using average in his review. As you said, vAvg isn't wrong, per se, but it has other limitations that prevented...

Introducing... my bottom feeding mod (MyMod)

Ah, I hadn't seen it with a mobile device yet. Yes, I think he had a printed, but he made his own metal mod, too. Just a quick search and didn't find one where he is talking specifically about it, but you can see it in the background here...
