Introducing... my bottom feeding mod (MyMod)

That was a cool mod. Last I saw him mention it, I didn't get the feeling he was going to make another, let alone make them for sale. I think I recall him saying it was made from SS and was very heavy. Not sure which thread you're referring to, though. I only see "moved on" under his name, but I...

Introducing... my bottom feeding mod (MyMod)

Well that's a shocker. I've never seen him post anything even close to offensive, so I hope he "moved on" of his own accord. Last posts were nearly a month ago.

Unlike! Well, I guess I like that you had it on a regulated, but I'm sure you would have checked the resistance before trying to fire it on a mech. Like that no damage was done, though! Let's leave the clumsy award to me for now, OK?

Thanks. Credit goes to Twisted Messes on Youtube. That's some heavy metal there. Can you say surface area? About 9mm wide and only 0.3Ω. It takes a while to heat up on my mechs and it never cools down - just simmers for a while ;) It should probably be run on a high power, low ohm capable...

    The PV Picture Game

These days, I think that would have to be the Doctor's Wife: Dibi Sumpin', Vapor Shark, Tardis. See what I did there with the filename? ;) Challenge 219: Your PV with your local Sunday edition newspaper. If you don't get an actual paper anymore, your local online paper will do.

Hah! If I get in to a "show me yours & I'll show you mine" contest, I'll just have to open my zipper.:ohmy::closedeyes: Which, incidentally, is filled with monkey poo.

I'm thinkin' maybe we should try this again? . . . . and you kids should behave yourselves

Ouch! I know that feeling. I followed Peter's recommendation for LocTite Professional and it fixed my Santos up beautifully. Can't even tell that I broke it. And I've been using that bottom screw ever since. The scuffing I gave it that first week on the other hand . . .

Oh, yea. I put that twisted 32 on a DNA30 and was able to crank the wattage higher than the ProVari's limit. Snap, crackle, POP! Lovin' it! Still, I got all that with a simple spaced 28ga and, to me, the same flavor. So, not worth the trouble to twist. Unless there is a 28ga shortage coming 8-o.

That just LOOKS tasty. I am very tempted by that DNA40 and especially the Flask, but I'm waiting 'til both of them get the bugs worked out. Mostly Evolv, but I don't understand why a $300 mod would come with crooked displays. Kind of makes me suspicious about the rest of the mod. I'm sure...

    The Erlkönigin : PICTORIAL

LOL! Very good reading. And I've enjoyed this journey. The biggest coil I've made (not in the ErlK) was one of Twisted Messes', zipper coils. That thing was huge, what with 6 strands of 28ga and however many wraps it took to get to 0.3Ω. It was fun, and I still have it mounted in a Zenith...

Oh, forgot to mention. I bought it from reosmods.com. I included my phone number and the order number in my email.

I wouldn't call it a short (well, except that it is designed to close the circuit to the battery). I tried to take a pic of the arcing, but was too lazy to get a tripod: And I already tossed the two batteries that I was using in the Reo, so I can't show you what they looked like. There was a...

That might explain it. It was one of the newer grands with the built in copper/gold upgrade. When it first started happening, I looked at it with a magnifying lense and didn't see anything obvious. But then, it doesn't take much for those trons to find a shortcut.

Oh, I've set it aside. I had some AWs, but gave them to a friend recently. I'm familiar with Super_X. It was his microcoil thread that pushed me into trying BF. Yea, I'll go ahead and get some of those new AWs for the REO. I just like the added comfort zone that the 30A Sonys provide (even...

Yea, I'll email him today. I was very careful about the polarization of the magnets. But Murphy showed up just as I was about to place the magnet in the glue. It bounced off the counter and landed directly in the hole. I tried to remove it immediately, but no go. I've just been living with it...

    Let's Talk Hardware

I somehow didn't hit the "Post" button on this one earlier... My REO has been very bad to the batteries I've been using in it. Arcing, sparking, pitting, ruinous bad. Heck, the delrin/plastic thing next to the positive contact even got burned onto the positive contact blade thing. I've...

I don't know what material you're looking for in a drip tip, but driptipdesinz.com has a variety of materials and great workmanship. They even made custom DTs for me with left over chunks of Santos Mahogany from my Dibi Sumpin' Custom Drip Tips Ooooooh! They added steampunk! Later!

Definitely a nice little box. I got one with the rubber shark skin specifically for use on the boat, but it tends to go everywhere with me. @Bonze, the shark skin really pays off on a rocking boat! No roly-poly, slippy slidey, over the side plopping. :)

Well, it's crackling some, but no loud pops - at least on this ProVari that I'm pushing to its amp limit. I'll put it on a DNA30 after it's charged up. That 28g coil in the pic made lots of satisfying pops and crackles. :D

I knew traffic was bad there, but wow. I can drive leisurely from sea to shining sea in the time it takes them to drive a few miles in a city.
