    you should be fine. I upped my vg recently and even though it mutes my flavors it increases the funk of my nicotine. I got used to it after a day or two. It was giving me a funky smell/taste when I exhaled out of my nose.

    Then it is very possible the smell is coming from the nicotine. Is this your first DIY purchase? Sometimes when the nic has been made for a while it oxidizes and has a smell. Is it clear or does it have a yellow color to it? It should be pretty much clear.
