    Diacetyl Containing Liquids Safety Discussion

I'm not really understanding the propensity to grassy-knoll theories some of you have. Very few threads have mentioned specific vendors, and those that do reference the vendor's own words, without even mentioning the vendor by name. Most of the concern with diacetyl content mentions Flavourart...

    Diacetyl Containing Liquids Safety Discussion

One of the things I have a hard time wrapping my head around is that from a strictly business sense why all vendors are not as we speak updating their web pages to reflect what does and does not have diacetyl and the requisite warning. Because if one of the younger users of their juice, who...

    Diacetyl Containing Liquids Safety Discussion

At the risk of another personal attack, if you and others feel there is nothing further to discuss, then why not avoid it as you have said the anti-diacetyl camp should do? It has the word Diacetyl in the heading, so if you are of the opinion that there is no further information forthcoming and...

    Diacetyl Containing Liquids Safety Discussion

With all due respect, that seems to be a bit of a cop-out. Using again my example of Ralph Nader, he wasn't in any capacity to regulate any of the industries he impacted, either, but he was responsible for saving the lives of a lot of people, even while he was probably being labeled a paranoid...

    Diacetyl Containing Liquids Safety Discussion

It was brought up in one of the other thread's that the quantity of flavor that number came from (I can't remember offhand if it was listed as 3% or 0.3%) was not really reflective of the way it is used in most "recipes". It is usually closer to 10%.

    Diacetyl Containing Liquids Safety Discussion

I would like those that feel there is no risk from diacetyl to please provide some credentialed authority where they are getting their information. From all the indication provided thus far, the scientific and medical community do not feel that there is a safe level for the inhalation of...

    The Anti-Diacetyl Meeting Room

Since you note that it doesn't seem a dangerous level to you, do you mind if I ask what your area of expertise is? Frankly, if I've got scientists and physicians and OSHA saying that they cannot find a safe level to vaporize this into one's lungs, so I'd like to know how to weigh the options...

Gosh I'm sorry if I said something to make you feel that way. And thank you for adding so much information to the discussion.

Please help me to understand why your postings seem to be at odds with the mission statement of CASAA- "Our mission is to ensure the availability of effective, affordable and reduced harm alternatives to smoking by increasing public awareness and education; to encourage the testing and...

Ask your favorite suppliers to remove diacetyl from their e-liquids!

That information is out there now because of this thread; I don't know whether this information was gathered a couple years ago and lost to the shifting pages of time or not. At this point the discussion is still going on because people like you respond to people like me, and people like me...

    The Anti-Diacetyl Meeting Room

Had you really read all 17 pages, you would have noted that unless a company discloses, we cannot scream or even merely avoid them. And I guess if someone is going to come and post their opinion not to contribute to a discussion but rather as a, I don't know what to call it, a written...

Ask your favorite suppliers to remove diacetyl from their e-liquids!

You yourself note that this has been an issue on vaping boards for two years. I really don't think expecting them to come up with an alternative or at the very least disclosure in that time frame is "a moments notice".

Starting a LIST of diacetyl-free ejuice suppliers. Please, keep to JUST listing the supplier names!

Pure Vapes while not technically entirely diacetyl free, makes very clear disclosure on which of the flavors contain diacetyl, and if eliminating those, there are still a lot of choices.

That would be terrific since it appears that Dekang does indeed run a lot of that testing. Someone had links to some of the Dekang testing, and if you could get your web guy to put a link to those testing results on your page, that would be great.

Ask your favorite suppliers to remove diacetyl from their e-liquids!

I'm not saying that it shouldn't have been part of the initial discussion, but now it is just a matter of the people that care about diacetyl saying they want to know when a vendor uses it and the side saying that they either don't care if a vendor uses diacetyl or they don't care if a vendor...

Ask your favorite suppliers to remove diacetyl from their e-liquids!

Well, I guess the point is that if you really don't care whether a vendor does or does not disclose they use diacetyl, of what import is the discussion to you? Leave it to those that are concerned to decide what they want to do since it doesn't matter to you one way or anothe. As they say, if...

You may have lost some, Nikhil, but you've probably gained as many because you were very clear and upfront about exactly which juices contained diacetyl, which means the consumer can make an educated juice choice based on their own comfort level.

Polydipsia is not fatal. It just means the desire to drink a lot of water.

Actually, it's not all that good an analogy. Unless you remain submerged in the water, you are able to cough it out, no harm done (we've all had something "go down the wrong pipe" on occasion). The action of diacetyl is that it won't be coughed up. The damage it does is irreversible. The...

As has been stated, anyone that is comfortable using diacetyl is free to do so. But from both an ethical and legal standpoint, a vendor should disclose that if and where they are using it to protect the consumer from using it. And there are several people who have used some of these flavors...
