    Vamo Pcb for a pass-through

That's what its behavior would indicate. NiMH batteries are quite capable at 2C, which is well beyond what the Vamo board is capable of pulling.

    Vamo Pcb for a pass-through

I learned an interesting bit about the vamo yesterday while testing with NiMH cells. Because it has two, count 'em, two "LO V" thresholds (for one cell and two lithium cells), there's a whole area below 6.4V and above ~4.5 volts where it just won't fire. I'm guessing it's a software feature, but...

    Vamo PCB with NiMH batteries

So I got me one of them fancy Vamo PCBs and did some rudimentary bench testing with NiMH cells. Because the Vamo was designed for either one or two lithium cells, it wants to see ~3.7 or ~7.4 volts. I still need to test the cutoff voltages, but the general consensus online is that it throws a...

    VV Box mods?

How do you feel about making your own? There are several places that have the Vamo's board for sale for around $20. It gives you VV/VW and an ohm readout in whatever kind of box you like. Otherwise, the Itaste MVP seems to be really popular these days. It's a nice metal box and has flat DC...

**Newbies - the importance of the 'primer puff'

I'm glad you are talking about this. I had to figure that one out on my own.

    VW chip

Madvapes just took the entry for the Zmax board off their website, so I'm guessing we won't be seeing any of them around any time soon. I was really hoping they'd pop back up somewhere.

    My first VV

I definitely go through more juice with a vv unit than straight battery power. I run at a higher-than-battery voltage to begin with, and I stay there longer, so I'm not too surprised.

    Good morning from Nashville, TN

You already have enough stuff to start your own YouTube review channel!

Have my vaping stuff but still caved in and smoked today :(

Sometimes vaping is little more than what you do while waiting for vapemail. Keep the faith!

Great to see you're enjoying the Protank, hvac. Mine is in the mail and I'm eagerly awaiting it.

No one told me there would be math!

I assure you, there's no need to get caught up in ohms, volts, amps, watts, and milliamp-hours. If you get even a halfway decent tank/cart/atty/clearo/whatever and a vv mod, you're well on your way to getting a great vape. Even if the mod displays volts and watts, just keep toying with the...

    kamry protank clone?

Interesting discussion on that page regarding rumors that the tank might be plastic. Too much drama for this guy.

    Beginners box

As for the unit itself, I really like it. The toggle switch and rubber bands are awesome. Why did you opt for a DPDT switch?

    Beginners box

A cheap multimeter will give you plenty of accuracy. As for the batteries, I haven't had sags even near 2V on my NiMH units. I use Energizer NiMH AAs, in 2300mAh and 1400mAh. They'll sag to about 3-ish volts at the end of their useful charge cycle. I get 1.5-2 days out of my 2300s and about a...

    How to: Build the Puck

Just a quick rundown of the differences between ThePuck's unit and mine... I made clear buttons so the surface mount LEDs could be seen when vaping. I went with the original fire button and mounted it to the cover. I used the USB board, but went with push terminals for the battery connection. I...

    Zmax or Vamo?

Just throwing it out there since you mentioned building your own mods... You can get the vamo and max boards on their own: Vamo board Zmax I built one out of the VV Gripper board, also available at Madvapes. I may end up doing the same with the other boards.

For Ex Heavy Smokers Or Anyone Do U Tend To Chain Vape When Sitting Around

I definitely vape like a madman at my computer, just like I did when I smoked. I went to low nic juice because I was overloading myself and knew I wouldn't just change my vaping habiits because of it.

    n00b mistakes

I bought a sampler of VG juice, not knowing that it was super thick, and ended up with the worst vaping experience trying to get my cartos to work with it.
