Really, I looked at the form myself and they DID put it down as NEW and NOT a repair. I just got mad enough to throw everything out and face the fact that the hassle wasn't worth my effort (since time is money)
If Brandon truly cared about his customers or reputation he would have done that the second time afaik.
I'll never buy another Evolv product again or any product designed to utilize their products ever again.
There, my post is all fixed, lol, what a mess to clean up that was. I am going to post a version of this in the appropriate place one Facebook, but I think my Canadian friends and acquaintances need to see this because it is exactly what we all try to avoid when we buy a device.
Shoulda bought...
So it has been quite a while and I have to admit my anger for this situation hasn't been remedied nor have I sent the device out for repair for the third time yet... I am actually even more frustrated after receiving a reply from "Brandon" at Evolv and you are soon to see why;
"Hi Blaine,
Sorry...
I understand completely Not Iris, I am not negative toward anyone unless they are to me first. I don't care about any boundaries... People can be horrible regardless of age and they should be treated accordingly (by ignoring them, not justifying their actions with a response, etc).
What is the best thing to do? Ignore them. They are 89.. you are likely much MUCH younger than that.
... Now just do whatever you want in the privacy of your own home and play the waiting game... Eventually that old bag will iron itself out.
Okay, so here is my letter to Evolv;
"Hello once again Brandon,
I really hate to contact you repeatedly about my Darwin, but once again it has had the exact same issue as before.
I was thrilled to have my Darwin back, as I have been missing it since it originally broke down weeks after I...
So I am cooled off but still way too disappointed to even deal with this right now. I think I will e-mail Brandon again and ask what can be done.
I have spent roughly $35 on the customs fees and pretty much $13 to ship it each time... So after I send this d@mn thing again I will have spent...
Okay, so bear with me here as I am not a very happy customer but I promise there will be no BS.
So I went to pick up my Darwin today, I was thrilled that I was getting my Darwin and confused about why exactly I was being forced to pay customs fees. Apparently when Evolv wrote the description of...
YES! The Darwin is BACK Muahahahaha :P
It seems that Evolv is good for their timing (got a new job today), however I am a little frustrated that I have to pick it up tomorrow since there is about $35 of customs fees on it. My mother was the only one at home and didn't have the cash to spot me...
Haha, I think I must have pi$$3d off a vaping god at some point for sure. I am really hopeful it comes in today because even though the eGo Twist is good and all, I find it just doesn't hit hard enough for me. I've basically been smoking the equivalent of some Matinee Slims for I don't even know...
I find smokers truly do reek and also that I subject myself to smokers more often than not.
Can't stand the stench, the ashes, the sickening filth and tar they leave behind...
BUT I remember how I used to be locked in that prison as well and exactly as they are -- I am a nicotine addict...
I appreciate the kind words. As a Darwin enthusiast since the device hit the market I have been biding my time until I could finally get one and since I have received this specific Darwin it has been nothing but problems.
I think nothing else out there can vape like the Darwin (unless someone...
Looks interesting to me, but I don't think one of them is up my alley. Shipping that far internationally for repairs would peeve me off a lot faster than shipping something to the US.
Man I miss my Darwin.. and only having stock eGo batts and 1 Twist... Yeah, I am barely scraping by, lol.
I would rather vape on my feet than smoke on my knees.
That being said, I don't care about permission. I stealth vape in the bathroom if there is a "No Smoking" or "No Fragrance" policy, so their words are merely blowing smoke up their own asses.
At the end of the day I am a person who vapes...
Well, I have to say I believe that Evolv does have their act together, as I know so many others who enjoy and use their Darwins daily without mishap. I think that because this issue seems to develop after a couple hours of heavy use (mostly because I am such a heavy vaper these days) it is...
I agree with Toronto Mike. Rebuildable Atty's, DIY and a good supply of batteries which none could be made illegal individually and as all have said, a drastic move for any government to pursue.
Okay... I think for the first time ever my head is literally about to explode...
I got my Darwin back 2 days ago and purposely didn't use it until I bought some more hardware to keep it safe... Well it doesn't seem to matter that I bought the cone and 510 to eGo adapter to act as a cheap drip...
YES! I finally have my Darwin back and also received an eGo-C Twist battery from a good friend for a just in case scenario if my Darwin breaks again in the future. It's literally like Christmas in July!
