While we are waiting:
A note to the jackwagons and assclowns who think this thread is some sort of epic troll.
I confess. You caught me. 5 years and 10,000+ posts on the forum (most of it spent helping members and keeping the forum running smoothly especially hammering the aforementioned...
I pull doubles and triples for a major freight company. Dripping is not an option. I would like to, but it simply is not safe to do so. I must use a tank.
Tonight's build. .98ohm. Fires nicely from the inside out. Under the advice of "less is more" here is how I have it wicked and then with the chimney on.
This is wicked with 2 strands removed from the yarn. Just 2 strands through the coil.
Any corrections before I fill the tank and fire...
I've tried only 2 vertical coils out of all I have built.
What is an emo? Are you calling me a large flightless bird? did you mean emu? Either way it makes no sense.
The last 2 builds I have removed 2 of the 4 strands from the yarn and am still getting the burnt taste. If I look up 10 feet I can see the end of my rope. If I could reach it I would hang myself from it
Cotton balls aren't an option. I work 12-14hrs per day. it takes me 30-60 min to wick a coil. I dont have the time for a daily wick change. Most say they get several days with yarn. I can really only rewick on weekends.
Don't have it yet. I'm up to build #42 with no success. I will never confuse any part of this with being easy. On the road today until 7pm. Don't be surprised if a pack of smokes is in the cards for today.
Got the one from last night wicked. Got 2 decent hits and then completely burnt taste again.
Have built 3 more coils all with the same result. I thought this was supposed to improve flavor. I am pretty much at the end of my rope. I'm chucking all this equipment in the trash. Obviously...
Yes. Fully saturated the wick. Waited 10mins after filling tank to try. Tank was thoroughly cleaned before my first build attempt.
At this point I think the KFL, Nemesis and Kanthal can go into the trash next to my Protanks that I tossed last week. I never realized how stupid I truly am...
