    My first igo-l coil

The move might have separated the cotton from the coil. You want full contact between the wick and coil at all times. If any part of the coil is not touching cotton it will glow and give you an awful harsh hit. You also could have moved the coil itself away from the air hole, or have it too...

    My first igo-l coil

Those are some good-lookin' coils, Claire! Congratulations on a job well done! As for how long it will last, it's hard to say. They should last a heck of a long time. I DIY my juices, and consider myself a chain vaper (>5ml a day) so I'll relate the following: My darkest juice gunks up in...

built a wooden "reo" style squank box

How dare you! Just kidding, awesome box, Kmk! I've never tried a bottom feeder, but I thought the excess juice would get sucked or drained back in the bottle. Has this not been the case? Looks good to me! I probably use more than that in my Chyclone dripper, and it's pretty tiny!

Twisted micro coil vs micro coil performance

My guess is that twisted coils offer a greater surface area than a comparably sized single wire. It provides more nooks and crannies for juice to cover and get vaporized. Micro coils concentrate the heat over a smaller area than a "normal" evenly spaced coil. A twisted micro coil concentrates...

    RDA Scalded Throat

I started at 24, went as low as 3, back up to 12, now stabilized at 5. Nonstandard, I know. I DIY and it is just the easiest recipe for me ATM. 20 drops nic, 20 drops flavor, 20 drops water and fill the rest of the 10ml bottle with VG. 20, 20, 20, fill, shake, drip, vape, rinse, repeat. ;)

    RDA Scalded Throat

Ouch! That sucks, I hope you get better soon, vernhall. Get yourself some Chloraseptic (or similar generic brand) throat spray or lozenges. Next time you try a new coil, make sure the wick is fully saturated and that all the coils are touching wick with no spaces in between. Any part of the...

Phoenix V4 entirely different than Phoenix FH20 ?

The micro coil thread is here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/416271-micro-coils-increase-vapor-flavor-th.html Great tutorials, pics and videos there! I build mine a bit different, as I use silica, not because I don't like cotton (I love it!) but because I...

Phoenix V4 entirely different than Phoenix FH20 ?

I love mine. It's all I use now. As soon as you get it, file the tip of the hex key flat, so it doesn't strip out your grub screws. Also note the hex key is very small, as in tiny! I keep mine stuck to a magnet so I don't lose it. IDK what kind of rebuilding experience you have, but this little...

Phoenix V4 entirely different than Phoenix FH20 ?

The v5 is better, but it is a 20mm atty. OP might be looking for a 14.x mm instead. I would go for the v4 over the FH20, as I've read the thick insulator is rubber and if the coil is too close, it will burn it and taste awful. I have the YK1 (cyclone clone) it is 14.2mm and it rocks! $5.93 YK1...

    EGO Twist + IGO-S ---> Baby Dragon

Congratulations on a very well done build. Safe and effective. How does it hit? BTW, did you set it up on the ego or on a mech?

bought a battery pack, need to de-pack the batteries!

The way I see it in the first pic, the red wires are on the cell on the left (we'll call this cell A) and the black wires are on the right (B). The white wire is soldered joining the two remaining battery leads. If the above is correct, the red wires are the A cell's positive (pwr +), making...

First E-cig mod (EASIEST MOD EVER) PASSTHRUH

Well, it won't win any beauty pageants, but... it works! ETA: Congratulations! 2 tips though: 1. I'd avoid plugging it directly into a computer. The USB ports aren't designed for high current draw and it could lead to serious damage to the computer. Use a separate power supply or at least a...

    Looking for dripping RBA's.

Phoenix has been my mainstay for the last year or so. So big ups for that one. Just got my Chyclone from FT and it is way awesome (plus its one tenth the price of the original). My prelim review is on FT. From placing the order to vaping it: 11 days. Paid a whole extra dollar for faster...

My battery dun broke...kind of. Suggestions?

Some options: 1- Buy new PVC heat shrink tubing (eBay), remove old, install new: done. 2- Apply superglue (cyanoacrylate) over exposed area, sprinkle baking soda on it (or sand down some hard black plastic (ABS?) over the glue). Let it dry completely (or at least until you can't smell the CA...

    Sleeve for Phoenix Clone

They all melt eventually. I haven't found replacements and mine look pretty burnt as well. Shrink tubing sounds like a pretty good idea; maybe build up a couple of layers, as it's pretty thin; thanks, imrdy85! The posts also come loose over time. Mine is pretty much close to being a write-off...

    RBA dripper

Brilliant idea, the tapped split pins! Talk about thinking outside of the box. Well done, sir!

    RBA dripper

Nah, across the pond, a little to the south... Puerto Rico, to be exact. :/ How are the coil connections made? Posts with side screws, looks like? Does the cone accept 510 drip tips? And finally, does the airflow come from the 510 connector, or is there a hole in the cone? Sorry for the...
