No, I have not used the short battery cap at all .. I didn't buy any 18500's. That was with the 1600mAh 18650 IMR's. I left the settings and atty as was and got over 24hrs before the subsequent battery change, so it was a heavy vaping day obviously. -

logic can't argue with success .. unless its placebo effect :) Do you think you are opening up the brass hole or maybe moving something that is perhaps partly blocking that hole, thinking juice residue here. Now i need to buy a dentists pick .. damn. Always wanted one anyway.- Stonemull

I don't think the side air hole is acting as much of a restriction, if I remove the atty and suck on it .. I can block and unblock the battery hole (the one blocked by the connector) with very little change in air resistance. This is effectively changing the hole size from a 1 sq mm hole to that...- Stonemull

I did a quick follow up test .. remove atomiser, suck thru cart and place finger over battery hole or not .. makes very little difference on mine. SO drilling holes or opening up the bottom hole will make very little difference to my current atty.- Stonemull

no plastic .. the centre battery connection is quite long and protrudes past the hole, comes to within a mm of the top plastic cup. So go too deep in the hole and you are poking the centre battery connection. There is probably 2mm air gap before hitting that post, nothing else in there, instead...- Stonemull

The hole you mention is the only real restriction and is in brass, the atty connector is also a hollow cup and has a plastic lid on it internally with the larger lower hole diameter in...- Stonemull

FWI .. I do get a lot less battery life on provari at 4.5V than I do at 3.6V .. I also get a lot more nicotine though :) I took it out all day with me on a 300k drive but left it on 4.5V, I also took an eGo as a backup, I prefer to take a whole seperate ecig now as backup, then I am covered for... -

hmm, I did electronic engineering and have never used the word tension .. I guess thats an electrical term .. eg high tension wires ;) obviously vaping at 10W will shorten a cell faster in actual button press time in with 4W. However you have not considered at all the fact that vaping at 10W... -

I'd pretty much agree with o=your chart there. Just today I was using a 2.2Ω tank atty and getting annoyed at my regular 3.7v, just wasn't satisfying .. pumped it up to 4.7v for a quick 'fix' and so thoroughly enjoyed it that i used it like that for a few hours. The headache is fading now :(... -
ProVari Variable Voltage Mod
You can't fit an ego-t on with no adapter as the connector is recessed in the skirt, I did once mod an ego B atty to fit on another mod b grinding the skirt off, thats the only way you will get one on a provari with no adapter. I use a 510-901 and then a 901-510 adapter, do them up tighter... -

Heh, I didtry a similar thing with a spike plate fitted onto a debridged XL A atty when my first tank atty died. ok, further dismantled mine, the heater has no wick, just a coil that has been squashed to a more rectangular profile. The ceramic cup has 4 holes around the outside but the airflow is straight through the centre, there is even a small plastic pipe insert on top of the connector that would...- Stonemull

I always assumed that the heater is wrapped around a wick that is in contact with the mesh from looking at a diagram of a 510 atty ages ago. At a guess .. the mesh catches excess juice and feeds it back to the heater before it drips out the bottom hole I find the ego-t can be a bit tight on...- Stonemull

E2 Error and resistance
They where a few weeks old, I did check them when I first got them and I think they where both 2.2Ω. They do seem to drop resistance for some reason or another, I find it hard to imagine juice could be that conductive but perhaps enough carbon or similar would do it. Another alternative... -

hmm, battery inertia is compressing the spring, a split second later that spring force is hammering the battery and its interia back into the PCB. there is no spring up the other end to absorb the shock. so a much faster deceleration of the battery means much greater forces involved. life... -

So I was offered a refund .. but turned it down for research purposes. Amazing the gunge build up under the spike plate. I am going to be removing that plate, cleaning and replacing it in future when it starts to taste 'off'. It is press fit into the can holding the ceramics and can be removed...- Stonemull
