Silica and Peaches 'n Cream? My friend you are using the wrong wicking material for this tank. I'm sure it could be done but the e-liquid flow would not be optimal. Try again with the cotton or have your local B&M help you out.
Since you're talking about the mini it's not really all that bad size-wise. Back when I still used ProVaris and KFL+s I would swap back and forth between the PV and the 134 going out. $35 is a decent price for a bit of vaping 'history.'
I've just started trying out the Triton and I'm currently running it up to see where I can get the best vape. Right now I'm at 50w and am going higher after I stop typing this.
If you're only a 20w vaper this tank is not going to work well for ya!
Are you using the same coil as you started with? If so you may have scorched the original. As stated the Subtank with horizontal coils is best at 22-23 watts, IME.
I drip 95% of the time and occasionally when I'm out I like to share my favorite e-liquid by displaying drips on my shirt. When I'm done showing off soaking the spot with a very wet paper towel then drawing the spot out again with a dry one cleans it right up!
These things also tend to run in waves. Around here last year it seemed 26650 mech mods, both tube and box, were all the rage then it seemed it suddenly stopped. I still use mine occasionally but I believe the thickness may be an issue especially with so many dual 18650 mods available.
I find that on the Subtank Mini with the 'standard' horizontal 0.5ohm coil it runs best at about 23.5watts. IMO the flavor is at least as good or better than most subohm tanks available today.
With the pace at which vape tech is progressing I'm not keen on a proprietary replaceable battery myself. Internal is fine as by the time the battery craps out I have probably moved on to another device. BTW I still have my MVP2.0 and it works fine so long as I fiddle around with the positive...
Yours may be having an issue. I got one of the VTs when they were first released and have had no issues at all with the device firing or recognizing a new coil. I have gone through my Ni and Ti coils (like the Ti far better for whatever reason) and am now using a standard eGo One 0.5 ohm coil at...
