Were you able to check the resistance of your coil? I noticed there was a small circular hole at the bottom of the RBA base. Would a normal 510 adapter screw into that to check resistance on another device? Just wondering if we have to use the Joyetech one. -

The very bottom one is Boost and the one above that is 20 PG/80 VG, which should be exactly that. I've heard of people vaping max VG, which I assume would include a little bit of PG from the flavorings if thats what they use to mix their flavors with. But I don't really hear people vaping max... -

Well, I'd imagine even if they look the same and seem to be similar, they could be kinda different. The GS and eGrip coils are made by two different companies... it's possible one is better. Joyetech's RBA adapter page is up. No price listed. Sigh... it's probably going to be a separate piece... -

Have you tried the GS coils in your eGrip yet? They are a cheaper alternative but somehow I doubt they would perform better than the BVC coils. I'm willing to buy a pack to try them if they do though. I'm also seriously doubting the 510 adapter will be included with the RBA base but we shall see. -

The RBA base's description does not say it includes the Joyetech RBA 510 adapter. Without it, I suppose you could still make a coil and check the resistance the old fashioned way, but I'm guessing it'll be another part we have to buy if you want to heat the coil to squeeze it and check your... -

Yes, use the non Nautilus BVC heads. You won't have to shorten the center pin, I found a work around. If you still have your eGrip heads lying around, pull out the metal center pin from those and replace the metal pin in the BVC coils with them. The pin will be kind of loose inside the BVC head... -

My method for cleaning coils (not just the eGrip ones) is boiling some water, then soaking the coils in the hot water + splash of vinegar for a while, this is to loosen any crud and get rid of some of the flavor inside the wick. Then I will rinse it out with water while blowing it out a few... -
