    Not saying it is a toy my friend, just saying that it physically feels like one in comparison to the VTC. Buttons, screen, finish and the battery door aren't half as nice compared to the VTC - performance is good though!

    As far as firmware is concerned I haven't found a reason for any kind of upgrade, it's working really well. Got the IPV D2 yesterday and I'm selling it today, it looks and feels like a toy compared to the VTC.

    You've told everyone not to buy a perfectly good and very popular device based on your problems and guess what? You're not using it correctly. Set your device to wattage mode or buy some nickel, post back here when it's set up properly.

    Didn't like the Nautilus myself however the ST mini just works - and it does it really well. If it's used properly it will perform brilliantly.

    If you can't unscrew the RBA then you might have cross threaded it, is it genuine or a clone? I've never had an issue with mine, I use it with Nickel generally. I don't have dry hits if I'm using Kanthal and I've never had flooding issues either - it's pretty much the perfect tank for being out...

    1.02 is the version on all the non review versions, seeing as there are no F/W updates for the VTC in the wild I'm assuming Spinfuel received the MVR software bundled with the F/W update. I think the update increased temp accuracy.

    I can pretty much guarantee that you'll love it, I've had a number of TC mods and the VTC is bar far my favorite - I actually prefer it's performance over the Evolv chipped devices in my possession.

    Yeah, just tried 460F at 10 watts - you'll get there eventually but it takes a while.

    Couple of things I've discovered - 20 clicks gives you the firmware version and if you press the left and fire button when the unit is off then you'll get the remaining battery voltage.

    It seems to get up to temp almost instantly but when it hits temp it doesn't drop off like it used to do on the VT, it seems to keep on going full tilt even when the protection message appears.     After a day of use I've noticed that the battery life in TC seems really good for a single 18650, I was always disappointed with the battery life on the original VT. Finish is holding considering the amount of atties that have been put on it, it's been in my pocket with keys too - not a mark.
