I think you underestimate the mah required to carry many of us through the day. I go through enough batteries a day to equal 2250 mah. I don't think most people vape their batteries all the way dead (especially in non traditional form-factor devices like the Janty Stick, Prodigy, etc...)...
I had to deal with the same thing. Here is what worked for me:
I took some plates (4 of them) and paper towels and soaked the paper towels in vinegar. I put the paper towels on the plates and put the plates in the car and let it sit for two days over the weekend with the windows up. This...
After months of resisting the urge to purchase a Protege, I crumbled yesterday and ordered one. I think it had more to do with the V2 Prodigy not opening up for preorders yet than anything else (very crafty of you Steve :)) I do have some questions about the Protege though:
1> I remember...
It depends what you are hooking the USB passthrough up to. The Prodigy runs around 5v at 1 amp. The passthrough out of a standard USB port on your computer runs at a steady 5v at .5 amp. If you use the USB port on a wall adapter, a portable powerpack or a cigarette lighter adapter, chances...
Wow! Thanks for all the good info. It looks like it should work then. It would probably give the manual mini pipe a better look since the Janty adapter looks just like a 801 atty.
I have just one more question about the manual mini pipe before I pull the trigger on one. How is the switch...
Thanks Casey!
...for the record though... from update thread:
"PRODIGY V1
- Stock Status - In the Midst of a Redesign. Preorders should open up by last week in October."
;)
It's a toss up for me really with a slight edge to the 510 over the 4075 due to the increased cartridge capacity and the propensity to find more consistency in term of throat hit delivery and vapor production. I seem to run across more 4075 duds than 510. Over both though I find a good true...
USB out of a standard motherboard runs at .5 amps. Kensington and other powerpacks are commonly 1 amp which is preferable IMO. It will work great.
There are much cheaper options out there though if you search around. Just about any 12v to USB adapter should be 5v and around 1amp.
