So, that 1st sentence was a tough read, but if I understand what you are trying to say, you have coils in the atty head which are forming large loops and standing too far off of the wick? They will get red because they don't have the juice on them to cool them off. You're in a bind if it's... -

At about 4:30 here, Estarra starts rebuilding the wick & coil for a Vivi head, there heads are near identical and the process is the same except you are now wrapping two wicks, not 1. I guess I could record my next rebuild. I'm using gauze on one of my SplitFires today, I rebuilt it last night... -

I changed the heads in the videos just a few posts ago. No where remotely close to the ease of changing the Vivi Nova heads. Not impossible either, I'm just saying that it's just not a simple screw it on and go. The wicks can be a bit difficult to thread through. -

Glad I could help. I've done a little modding on the DID Minis, only rewicking and coiling on these. If you look for YouTube recoiling a VIVI Nova it's very much the same principle, just two wicks. -
