I use standard #1 cotton candlewick, I push 3 pins through the wick to make it sturdy for coiling but also to accommodate for swelling. I love the rebuildable idea. I have some Vivi minis, and Vivi Full size, Phoenix, DID... Been through tank systems, attys, cartos, carto tanks, etc. I'd say, today, the Vivi & vivi minis are my favorites across f-v-th. I rebuild with cotton #1 braided wick and 32 gauge nichrome. help with re-coiling
Ok, just checking the details here iceman but the ceramic rope from McMaster is made of alumina silicate with high alumina content. I'm just asking here if anyone has considered the safety of that for wicking. Same as the ceramic tubing I mentioned earlier.- Chris474
