My personal Faves of 2012...(boutique/artisan only)

Just a general observation Hula... Not directed at you, and you did get called out by name, so your response was sort of warranted?

My personal Faves of 2012...(boutique/artisan only)

HHV & AiV mentioned in the same thread = :pop: It is like like being in middle school again, and heading out behind the school after the bell rings to see the entertainment, haha.

    Natural Tobaccos

I grew up in Illinois, and I know how to do the SuperBowl Shuffle... I ain't a true cheesehead, LOL P.S. I do respect the Packers for the fact they are the only community owned team, no single owner or owner group controls them, which is pretty cool, IMO

Look forward to hearing your thoughts... And I am curious what "at risk of beheading" means?

I hear you about the coffee flavors... I roast my own coffee at home, not for a living... I'm just not sure it translates well to vapor, at least for me?

RAVYN - Alice in Vapeland - Limited Edition

I totally understand... But we are specifically talking juice flavoring, and extracted tobacco. Both of which are going to end up in PG/VG anyways. Why not extract with alcohol, evaporate it, and then dissolve it into a PG or VG solution until needed to mix?

RAVYN - Alice in Vapeland - Limited Edition

Probably a stupid question, but why don't vendors evaporate off the alcohol from the flavorings before they make the juice? Can't they suspend the flavoring in PG or VG and then add it as necessary. If the alcohol isn't even required to keep the flavor in suspension or dissolved in the juice...

RAVYN - Alice in Vapeland - Limited Edition

That is pretty cool, first vendor collaboration I have heard of yet... Sometimes those end up with pretty unique results, not sure if it will be the same as if it was just the two vendors putting their heads together though? Sidenote: Sierra Nevada/Russian River and Terrapin/HeBrew have come...

    Natural Tobaccos

That is a good range to start with... Acadian is the lightest and sweetest, Vita has some vanilla flavoring in it, and Patriot is the strongest of the bunch (It will be quite a change from what you have been vaping). I am glad you kept Wild Turkey, Perique and Fire Cured off the list for now...

    Natural Tobaccos

Maybe Organic #1 or Acadian Gold to get you started (for straight tobacco)... You could also give Wrangler a shot. Apple Cured, Vita Bella and GJ4 are flavored but get a lot of support as well, and might be a smooth transition.

    Natural Tobaccos

I will probably get laughed out for saying this... But BackWoods Brew has always seemed to me like something that could work for people that like HHV. They use an extracted base, and also make hybrids with other flavors. It is not a strong recommendation, like the ones GT mentioned, but if...

    Natural Tobaccos

Totally agree, but I also think it has gone past the point of no return... To go through this whole thread and extract all of the reviews (formal or informal) would be a monumental task. The best solution so far is for people to describe what they are looking for, and then recommendations will...

    Stores need better descriptiions

This comes up in the Natural Tobacco thread all the time... Seriously using words like deep, sophisticated, rich flavor? What does that mean? Buy at your own risk... The least you can do is reference the variety of tobacco used... Not like it will give the secret away, and also if you are...

    Natural Tobaccos

I gotta say this, even though it is completely in a joking manner, so don't take it the wrong way... But you have been hanging out around here for too long VaporMizer, it seems like you are becoming a "corksniffer", hehe. On a serious note, thanks for you contributions to this thread, your...

    Natural Tobaccos

It would be cool if someone could compile the extractions we know of and the vendors that use each type... Like we know that VR uses Steam, GeJ and Vaperite use maceration with PG/VG, and A+ uses CO2 (at least that is what I have gotten from Mr.Mann). Do we know what MVJ, W2V, or HHV use among...

    Natural Tobaccos

That could be Nick... And on the TA front... "Perfume" smell from a product that is actually made to be used in perfume, not food products... Shocking

    Natural Tobaccos

Steam distillation is used to extract essential oils/organic wax... TA is basically an oil/wax. So in a relative sense, disregarding the extraction method... Both products are oil/wax based and need alcohol to stay in solution, unlike PG/VG maceration. CO2 extraction also results in oil from...

You picked the lightest one of the bunch... The CI and Red Pirate are next lightest, and then Alcazar... With Coffee Infused being the heaviest. The Vapenstein Blends I have (Managua and London) are as heavy as the Alcazar and Coffee Infused one or heavier.

    Natural Tobaccos

Interesting... Just for reference, water boils at 212 degrees, PG boils at 370 degrees and VG boils at 554 degrees, so that was some hot sauce you had going there, haha.

    Natural Tobaccos

Nice... I will look forward to hearing. I am going nutz right now, with the 12 mason jars and three kinds of tobacco I got. I am using two methods like you talk about above... One that warms the juice for a couple days (your crockpot style), and the other just heats it up once (boiling water...
