Veteran vapers that still use stick batteries and cartos

I take cig-a-likes and/or Egos with me when I go out. Simple, easy to throw in a pocket, cheap enough that I won't be upset if something happens. I throw a few spare batteries and filled clearos in a pouch so I don't have to worry about filling or charging, and I'm good for the day.

Advice in Thnining very thick juices

Do it in a spare bottle, you would never get it to mix well in a tank. Depending on just how thick it is, I would do 10-20% water (or PG, having a bottle of that around never hurts) and shake the crap out of it. If shaking won't mix it, soak the bottle in hot water for a while and try again

    Decisions..help me make one! :)

Of the 2, the first one would be a better choice. Seems a bit expensive for what it is though (if I remember the exchange rate right). The iTaste MVP 2 would be a great device to start on for just a bit more money, the first site has it

Is my body still purging tar or is this bad ?

This is correct for the most part. It affects everyone differently, but PG is definitely capable of causing your lungs to clean themselves out. When I first started vaping (and was still smoking), if I vaped a high PG juice I would start coughing up phlegm even though I hadn't actually quit the...

How do you mix two e juices together

Definitely do it in a separate bottle if you can (empties are super cheap), so if it doesn't turn out you don't ruin a bunch of juice. I always mix up 1-2ml at first, and give it at least a few days of steep time with frequent shaking. Then drip some to see if the mix is good or needs tweaking...

    is this a good multimeter?

No cheap generic multimeter will do the job there, but a good meter is accurate on anything that doesn't blow it up. Most people don't have $500 Flukes lying around to use for coils, though

Ever been pulled over by a cop for Vaping?

I have been twice. I only take Ego-style PVs out with me, so it was pretty painless both times explaining what it was. Beyond that I've gotten plenty of long funny looks from LEOs trying to figure out what I had. I don't get upset about it. The "other" use of vaporizers has become much more...

There are none, that's why it's used in medicine so commonly. Anyone with asthma inhales PG very often, it's the base for most inhalers and nebulizers. If anything, PG by itself could be good for your lungs to an extent because of its mild bacteriostatic properties.

    cheap mods/larger battery for beginners

Another vote for the MVP2. $40 at 101vape is hard to beat, and it's a great device. For tanks, either the Nautilus or wait for the new Aerotanks that should be out soon.

    Vaping more than cigarettes?

I started off vaping exactly like I smoked, taking "vape breaks" outside every hour or so using 24mg. It helped me a lot to just drop them right in place of analogs while I went through the rough parts of the transition. After a while, I knocked down the nic to 12mg and started vaping more...

Motivation needed to take up vaping again :-/

How long was your "break"? If it's been a while, buy some shiny new gear that came out while you were away. Even if it's something small like a new tank, that "new toy" feeling always helps me (I just finished opening some new toys for the same reason)

Do you get headaches from vaping too much?

I used to get headaches (and other issues) on 24mg juice. They went away when I went down to mostly 12mg. I like something with more punch in the morning, but I switch to something lower after a while and feel better for it. So try it and see how you feel, 24 is pretty high to be vaping all day

    Favorite mixtures

I don't mix much, but I ended up making a great peppermint mocha once. About 80% HHV Mocha Java Smooth and 20% ECBlend peppermint Candycane (both 12mg at 70/30). I wasn't crazy about either juice on it's own and had just finished a cup of peppermint mocha, so I threw them in an empty bottle to...

It's also found in asthma inhalers and nebulizers, and has been used in medicine for quite a long time. It is in some antifreeze, but it's there to reduce the toxicity of the rest of it.

    Problems with coughing

The same thing happens to me, and it doesn't matter how I inhale. For me, it's just from vaping triggering quitter's flu a bit early (PG can do that). I stuck through it and after a week or 2 the coughing went away

New to the forums, full of questions

VG/PG: some people are bothered by one or the other, most people can use both without issue. Typically, PG has better flavor and throat hit, VG produces better vapor, and you experiment until you find the ratio you like. I usually stay around 50/50 when I have the option, maybe 60/40 one way or...

    Mall kiosk

I had fun with a kiosk guy once. They only sold cigalikes (can't remember which, but it was some proprietary threaded garbage) and I went over to check it out. Didn't tell him I vaped, just let him go through his sales pitch, tried the thing, told him it was terrible. Then I pulled out my Ego...

Why did you quit smoking? Or why are you considdering quiting?

Health reasons, mostly. Not from a doctor (or god forbid the Big C), but I was really starting to feel the effects. Especially when I tried to start running again, I could barely make it 3/4 of a mile when I used to do 5-6 no problem. Family is part of it too, my kid brother worries about my...

FDA to propose rule on ecigarettes Monday 4-28-2014

Things new vapers need to know. Help out the newbies!

I'll agree that 510 is probably a better choice, but 808 isn't bad either for starting out. There's a better selection of 808 clearos than there used to be, and adapters are cheap if you have both. (also, I prefer female threaded toppers and male threaded batteries for some reason) My actual...
