According to this site -- http://www.nhs.uk/news/2010/05May/Pages/lifespan-link-to-sleeping-habits.aspx -- people who sleep too much are even more at risk of early death than those who don't sleep enough. I wondered if oversleeping would be healthy, and now I know it's not.

I should tell you all about our little adventure this morning. The guy came to plow the driveway. He is very impatient and not always polite, so the lady upstairs and I, the only ones home, hustled out to move our cars so he would plow our spaces, too. Wrong! He got upset with us for getting in...

Awsum, she didn't say that extra sleep adds to your life, just that ost sleep not made up will deduct from it. I wonder what the real scientific facts are. How much does lack of sleep affect life span, and does sleeping more add to it? Some people need more sleep than others, but I doubt that...

Happy Groundhog Day. Did any of you ever see that movie? I thought it was interesting, and I guessed that it was really talking about reincarnation, and that we lead multiple lifetimes till we get it right, each time learning more about how to live. Did anyone else who saw it have that idea? I...

Trit, you need more sleep than that! You will get sick if you don't get enough sleep.

Hi, guys. I would have posted something yesterday, but I didn't want to be the only one posting since my good-night photo. Bill has a cold. He spent 2 days in bed, so at least he got plenty of rest. Yesterday, after tutoring, I went shopping and got him Coricidin HBP, which is a kind of cold...

Good night, everyone. This photo was on my mind today, so I decided that's what I'd show you for the good-night photo. I don't know quite why, but these little flowers (weeds, probably) have a special place in my heart.

Congratulations on the new heating system, Awsum. That was quick. I guess they can't let anyone get too cold in winter. Then again, you said they moved up the installation because of a big snowstorm coming, and I think we're supposed to get it, too, Sunday night and Monday. I have a dentist...

Yesterday, I picked up a book that's been sitting around my house for years. When I opened it, on the inside cover was an autograph I had forgotten about. Back in the early '80s, a friend, Chris, had borrowed the book. He had it with him while down in Greenwich Village, and there he saw...

Since your boiler is broken, do you have heat? I certainly hope so.

Awsum! You got our snow, too! I guess that doesn't usually happen. We have a few inches, but nothing unusual for this time of year. The wind is howling here, too. The temperature is in the teens now, but it's supposed to gp into the single digits tonight.

Lizzie, I'm glad to hear Hubby is doing well, and the boil is all taken care of. Now I'm sending vibes that he heals quickly and isn't in too much pain.

It's snowing today -- again. Yesterday I went to the barn, and there were just intermittent flurries till last night, but today looks like a good day to stay home. Maybe I'll make bread pudding. I should. I have quite a bit of stale bread to use up. Jasmine seemed totally recovered from tying...

That's the joy of synthetics. But both my saddles are leather, and so are the bridles. It's a pain, too, to have to maintain leather goods that I'm not currently using. You have to keep conditioning leather, even if it's just sitting around waiting to have a purpose.
