    Always make sure you shake your bottles before filling. Also, where were you storing them? If they're in direct sunlight, or too hot, that can effect them. Keep them in a cool dry dark place, some people even keep them in their refrigerator.

    I get syringes free at work... But depending on where you live (some states require a prescription), you can probably go to any pharmacy and buy them. Or you can order them online. They're easy to use, just suck up 1ml of juice, pull off the little white cap on the carto, slide the needle down...

    Getting nicotine on your lips... ;) Get yourself a syringe. Faster, easier, and better in my opinion. Though people do tend to look at you funny when you're refilling. I suggest just dripping into the edges of the carto if you must refill, or top off, in public.

    I vote for both... ie a LR carto on a 3.7v device. I prefer the Boge 2.0 cartos on a Super T P16, but that's way over your $50 limit. But there's plenty of 3.7v devices out there in that price range.
