    I temporarily gave up and made a cotton wick instead. The taste is fantastic, way better than the stock silica wick. I've used about 1.2 inches of wire this time and it's fine at 4v.

    it's touching the metal base. It's also touching one of the rods I think, but the bottom rubbery part, not metal. Should it not touch the base? Does the length of the mesh matter?
