yes, i was refering to the white washer that the 4 hole disk seats into. From your picture it looked like it was sticking up a little on the bottom edge and didn't look flush. The insulator in your last picture only goes in one way. Definitely sounds like something is amiss on yours :( Try... -

Yep! I just took nothing but the 510 from a v2 and placed it in the v3 and it fires just fine. Didn't change any plastics at all, just the pin :) ETA: Tried putting the v3 pin in the v2 base and it doesn't fit into the white washer. The v2 post in the v3 base works but is a little lose. So... -

The white washer under the pin looks upside down. Make sure the 510 sits flush down into that washer. It should pretty much snap into place. -

Matching serials? No, Picc is 0771 and the Sphero is 4303. I have noticed the GP logo and serial number are lighter than any other Spheroid I've seen. Not sure if this is due to the bead blasting or something new. -

I'm sitting here with a v2 and v3 looking at them now. The v2 might fit if you swap over the plastic insulator as well. Not gonna mess with these two that much as I'm vaping them. Well it sure beats the Registered Mail package I'm waiting on from the UK. It departed Flushing NY back on Jan 20th and hasn't been heard from since. DHL ain't cheap but they rock and the alternative sucks. -

Those are titanium tips too so I believe they dissipate heat a little better than stainless. Nope, there's no alubronze topcaps. Alubronze is softer than SS and wouldn't hold up as well at the 510. SS and Titanium are the only 2 metals used in GP top caps. Got my Piccoloid shipping notice this...
